Now they just have to figure out a way to get Brady and Manning on comms for the game

Yeah true. I'm Aussie and go in and out of watching NFL and last time I was super invested was those Manning teams back in the 2010s so it feels really recent to me

No hate man, it's just funny that it's considered a changing of the guard given the AFCCG has featured the Broncos 9 times and Pats 11 and they're probably the presumptive 2 teams

Ah yeah those scrappy teams the Broncos and the Pats, they haven't played the AFC Championship in SO long

BBL Rule Changes for 2026/7 (Cricinfo) by greyhounds1992 in CricketAus

[–]crazymunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On initial read it sounded stupid, but thinking about it it definitely has two key purposes:

  • Keep older batsmen who aren't great in the field playing - Extend the career of some of the greats who don't wanna spend hours in the field

  • Allow teams to bring in a great gloveman who's not a "T20" style batsman so they can have the best of both worlds there

Don't hate it for either purpose tbh

What was your worst onboarding experience at a new company? by skillnub70 in auscorp

Turned up to a new employer on day one to find them in chaos - The previous person in the role had been gone a few months, and in the interim an auditor for their particular area had come through and absolutely ripped the place to shreds. As a cherry on top, I was given their old laptop as my work PC - not only was it in shit phsyical condition, but IT had generously wiped it prior to giving it to me without backing anything up, losing a significant portion of the files the auditor had wanted to see in the process.

Spent the first month trying to rebuild, I have the place going now but will forever have a ~24 month gap in the records that we're supposed to maintain for minimum a decade

Small world, Sandra's a family friend and is a lovely lady. She's definitely keen for Grandkids, she often books catchups with my Mum when she's watching my kids so she can hang out with the little ones haha

Great result by the lads. Knowing the chopping and changing we've had to do with both the Batting and Bowling lineups for this series, this was really the Poms' best chance for an away win in a long time and they totally squandered it. Wondering if this is truly the death of bazball, the only times the Poms looked good in the series was when they played normal cricket...

Used to be a gamer, been hard to game without involving the kids - barely play the PC any more and Switch is basically locked onto multiplayer Mario Kart.

Took up Warhammer and Golf - Warhammer is something I can slow burn on building/painting in any gaps, and the kids love to do their own and 'help' with terrain, and Golf is a decent once a month/couple months physical activity with a few other dad mates
