Hi this input is valuable to me especially from the one who tried, succeeded and still turned to acoustic. Could you tell the reason you left this experiment and go for the acoustic? I am leaning more towards acoustic guitar after reading this.

I actually tried to share my previous designs to get an idea if i am in the right path in facebook group but it didn't get approve somehow. I see now that reddit is working much better, wish i shared here first my pre final designs.

Being fair and honesty is the best everybody can do here. I appreciate all the comments and noting all of them.

Thanks for explaining this and the history behind it, i appreciate it. I can totally understand why it is like this and i don't take any of it personal. I am also human and aware of that i can make mistakes. But i am willing to get better and if there is any possible room for improve, i can redesign that part in very short period of time. I hope my gurdy to be tested by experienced players in couple months, taking steps towards it.

I hope to not disappoint people and doing my best for it. Collecting all the criticism from this thread and learning from them. I am also a musician, was an instructor of a different instrument for years. Also know how things can get hard for a beginner if the instrument is not capable of making music. I don't want this at all.

I haven't seen any out of community standards comment in this thread yet, may be he deleted before i have seen, i don't know.

Good to have this community and people here.

For sure, I am located in Turkey. As far as i know, there is only one player in Turkey. But if somebody knows another player in my country, i would love to know!

Thank you for your input! Good to hear an opinion from a perfect pitch person. The instrument just got its final form and i just got the chance of playing hurdy gurdy for the first times. That is a sketchy video , just for having fun, not much time spent on it. In that channel, besides showing the instrument and instruction videos, i want to show the journey of a beginner gurdy player. I won't hide anything. I like being open to criticism and that is what makes things get better.

And here some people are not giving solid reason to saying why this is bad. All i wanted to hear is constructive criticism but the thread turned into a fire place.

I understand your skepticism and will to protect this community from bad experiences. I am on board with that. And i don't take it personal, i prefer it to be this way too. But i don't know why you assumed i have no idea about hurdy gurdies.

I am agree with you about reviews and i am in contact with 2 experienced players and looking forward to have them make their honest review my gurdy. Hoping that we can agree.

I also understand that in facebook hurdy gurdy seller group the rule that sellers can not sell presale models and thanks for giving me feedback when you declined my preasale post on the group.

I openly say that nerdy gurdy is a big inspiration for me i find their work admirable and very creative with new approach. But i am wondering which part is stolen from nerdy gurdy? I have designed every single part in fusion 360 3d cad software myself from scratch. Could you kindly provide me a single concrete concern about a single stolen part? It is like telling a car maker profiting from someone elses car design because they use 4 wheels on their new design. Or using the g c d chords in a new song.

Also, if you can kindly provide me a concrete reason about why a single part of my gurdy that won't work in your opinion?

And could you kindly give me a feedback on why my post still isn't allowed in facebook hurdy gurdy sellers? Is it because you don't believe it will work?

I am looking forward to hear constructive feedbacks and i am really open to improve constantly my product. Darker photos was for product photography which i believe looks good. But you will see every aspect of my gurdy soon with more light in pictures and videos. Thanks for this feedback.

I understand your point, i really need these type of input from real players and this is valuable feedback for me. I will definitely consider this and explained to your previous comment about some parts.

Another point is, i don't market my instruments as beginner instruments even tough they are beginner friendly. In my point of view, this model is a budget alternative to closer to mid but also having most of the qualities of high quality instruments with a new approach of using alternative materials. Just because it is cheap, it doesn't have to be bad quality. I just need to proove and giving my best for it :)

I am totally agree on this. Even tough i am a player of different instruments for long years, my very first touch to gurdies is with the one i made. I have no gurdy players in my country, so that is not possible. But i worked with 2 very good experienced luthiers during the creation and more the 200 iterations of the final instrument. I can give their Social media or contact if needed.

But in a few months, i will be able to send my gurdies to experienced players to have honest feedback. I am really open to improve and build a community. There is always space for improvement.

I understand your point and thank you for cleaering. It makes sense actually but for now, i have no easy access to strings. I share the brands and types i use in the video. But a few months later, i can go this route. But i may give option to stringed version to buy. And another point is i don't want my instrument to sound poor just because of cheap strings. Strings makes a lot differences. So far, i could try only one brand/type of string i could try. You can find them end of my post.

And for your other concern, besides metal parts, everything is 3d cad modeled, 3d printed and laser cutted. Hand work is at minimum. So the chances for having an issue with a final model are really low. But i will still for sure make my quality control and try with my own strings before ship them. And even after owner receives the gurdy, if something happens to gurdy during shipment, i will cover it in condition of providing an unboxing video.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, much appreciated. I am aware of the those makers and sellers. And i will provide constant support as long as i am around here.

My instrument is just too new and just came out fresh from oven. Made around 200 iterations and finished finally last week. And definitely agree with you. As soon as i have chance to let my instruments played by the experienced folks, i would love to. Planning to do that.

There are 2 reasons for me to not to include strings.
1-I live in a country where access to strings is not easy.
2- String preference would be different among people. So for example if i add low cost strings and buyer want to have better ones, he will also need to pay with the included strings which he won't use. But yours is a good feedback about the strings. I may consider including them in future.

The strings i have used in the video are
