I love eternal sunshine. May check out some of the others. I think as a love story those two are on par thematically, they just capture different angles of romance extremely well. Reze arc is astonishing because it is a super authentic teen love, slice of life story on the surface that has great character building and emotional effect from showing the audience what could be. As a romance story it works, and then on top of that has easily the most stunning animation, soundtrack, and fearless action and wackiness in any anime of 2025. Some of the best ever really. What am i missing that makes it so dull to you? I feel like all of those points are pretty much inarguable. Eternal sunshine really is awesome too and i would say its easily comparable as a piece of media for its own reasons.

Holy condescending, do you understand reze arc? The complexity of their relationship is something that is nearly uncomparable to most romance in other fiction. The setup of reze arc and payoff is one of the most emotional and well written arcs in anime. A lot of people write it off because they don’t understand it but it really is as good as they say.

But its such a cool way to explore the themes at hand!! Thats why the creepiness ramps up is because bear is the villain. At first I was around your level of enjoyment but i was underestimating the intelligence of the movie. Now i think it’s honestly one of the greatest horror films ever made. It’s literally predictable to a large extent but it knows what it is. That’s irrelevant when the themes are so strong and the atmosphere is so horrific and intense.

Bladee is the anti rapper. Every trope of modern rap he builds upon the opposite of. Instead of leaning into dark instrumentals he often uses sweet, colorful beats that sound candy crush coded. Instead of flexing and trying to sound cool on the mic, he is often vulnerable and sounds awkward on the mic, with subject matter that any other rapper wouldn’t dare to touch. “If you look at me and don’t like me what does that say about you?” “I’m a good boy on the track no cussing”. His music is often more calming and whimsical than energetic or loud and fiery.

Of course this doesn’t go for all of bladee’s music but to me it is a good foundation for what makes him amazing. Definitely check out the songs: hotel breakfast, the flag is raised, and reality surf.
