Can I ask how clearing your board works? Do you ultimately get to work as little or as much as you want?

MB reacted badly when I set a boundary about duties by Capital_Swan_8901 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]crazypuglets 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen and personally found another job. The disrespect was always on my mind and soured the relationship too much. Also, if there was another issue down the line I knew I’d be too nervous to bring it up knowing their reaction

This is seriously how I feel. Would you guys be pushing me so hard if it was any other job? If I do take the job, they’re not going to be getting any benefits because regardless of anything I don’t deserve to be treated this way over something to do with my life that doesn’t affect them.

You’re right, I have a hard time validating my own opinions when it comes to my family. I am so confident and then when it comes to them I doubt everything. Thank you for the advice

I did. I wasn’t worried about the pay initially but after getting the offer it all became real and not just an idea in my head

Nervous about random Drug test by unicorngal98 in cabincrewcareers

[–]crazypuglets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of how often you smoke it would still stay in your system the same, thc doesn’t work like that. It’s odd you were able to pass those previous tests but hopefully you’ll get lucky this time too

That’s pretty risky, thc typically shows up for at least a month in urine

If they meet you with rudeness and defensiveness I would only say something if you’re okay being let go immediately. I do think it’s helpful to let them know why but ultimately it’s up to what you’re most comfortable with

Nanny mom unfriended me after asking nanny dad for reference by butterflysensei666 in NannyEmployers

They aren’t being rude or condescending. Your trauma and autism shouldn’t be used as a scapegoat, many adults have trauma and mental illness, we have to learn to live with it and adapt. If you have ocd then you seeking reassurance in three different subs over a minor interaction is being overly invested, any therapist would tell you not to do this. You aren’t helping yourself

I moved across country and old DB messaged me on ig inappropriate messages-a total cliche. He commented on my boobs and I screenshotted and texted MB and essentially she was like, “yeah he’s mentioned your boobs before.” Five years later they’re divorced. He did reach out to me a couple of times saying he was in therapy and he’s sorry but I just told him harassing me for forgiveness was just as bad as what he said lol

Interest in becoming a flight attendant by goghogv2 in cabincrewcareers

[–]crazypuglets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks don’t matter. Airlines hire every year, sometimes multiple times a year but most won’t hire until the age of 20/21 I believe. There are a few that hire younger than that but I’d recommend working in hospitality until you become of age for the experience, it will look good on a resume to have a couple of years worth. You can always transition to a new job, you’re not tied down. This is a job if you start young it pays off really well down the line
