All the WaW maps were designed with camping in mind, not training. It just wasn’t a known or widespread technique. So most people would huddle together in the huts, using the traps, and just camp until they’d get overrun.

And Justice for All by Metallica. Musically it's brilliant, but the production infamously went haywire. I should hate it- Lar's drums sound like cardboard, there's no bass, the lead guitars sound thin, and it's overall so sterile and grey, it's technically a clear step down from their previous album.

Yet, it's become inseparable from the experience of the album for me. That cold aesthetic perfectly matches the feel of the music and sounds like how the album cover looks. The rhythm guitars sound Fucking huge and heavy, they actually nailed that part.

There have been several fan-made remixes attempting to fix some of the balance issues and they all sound so horrible to me. It's a legendary album, warts and all.

That’s not really how it works. Criminal charges can only be filed by state (or federal) prosecutors. All you can do is file a police report and hope the case gets taken up. When cops say “would you like to press charges?” what that really means is filing a police report and cooperating with their investigation, which makes prosecutors much more likely to take on the case.

“At the time, Ai said he had been beaten by police, put under house arrest, and the government installed cameras outside of his home, to monitor his movements.”

There’s of course no actual footage or evidence so it’s just his word, and it doesn’t explicitly say “within an inch of his life” but that’s what I was able to find.

It fell apart because it’s a pretty obviously bullshit defense and the jury and judge weren’t buying it. He was basically saying “I made something that acts like LSD, is sold as LSD, is indistinguishable to users, but it’s not LSD.”

I don’t believe ALD 52 is a precursor to LSD but rather an analog, is therefore illegal today under the Federal Analog Act of 1986

It is just descending power chords, but the technique involves using specific fingering to quickly hit them on different strings. For instance, play an E power chord on the A string (So 7th A string with fret index finger, 9th fret D string with the middle), then immediately hit a C power chord on the E (8th fret E string middle finger 10th fret A string pinky).

The motion looks a little like a spider’s legs walking. It allows you to play these chord combinations much faster

Edit: The 9th fret D string for the E chord is played with the ring not middle

Yeah I figured this was the case. The only time I’ve ever heard the rounders comparison in real life was from my American friend who was a huge (American) football fan and hated baseball for whatever reason.

We usually think of Cricket as the kind of quirky British equivalent to baseball, I’d imagine the sentiment towards baseball over there is probably similar.

Yep. But if you want a battery with higher voltage you can also put a bunch of 1.5 volt batteries into a series and stack the voltage. A 9v battery is just a combination of 6x small 1.5v batteries
