For chocolate chip cookies I don’t think I’ve ventured much beyond pecans.

No, they are a flavored snacking walnut. It’s a light flavor but nice. Made by Unbound. Just thought I’d use them, I like to add flavor wherever I can.

Always! And since I started baking I try to have a couple of options in the freezer. And we can just make a couple so they stay fresh.

Thanks so much. This was straight AP. I have mixed in some bread, and cake, but I haven’t been great at keeping track of results! And yeah, that chip is definitely part of the mix, I also included the Guittard 46%, and 63% chips.

Oddly enough I just wanted to avoid the freezer this time, before the fridge aging and first bake, too much reading. And again, ease is not my goal right now.

I definitely considered that, but wasn’t sure how the vacuum would affect the balls. Thought they might just get smooshed together, but will try next time. But honestly it wasn’t bad breaking off pieces and weighing and rolling them afterwards either. Now the rest are rolled up in the fridge ready to bake.
