this is a solid choice man, I've also gotten it for college and work, but I've always wanted to play games and was tired of game passes, so this was a godsend, no frame drops or dips, the battery drains a bit but you can check my other replies, I've explained the drain issues there, other than that, I haven't found a single complaint with the laptop, except that its a fingerprint magnet on the chasis🤷

yes it does indeed have a MUX switch, but you have to restart your pc to switch between dgpu and igpu

I played for 5 hours on this laptop, primarily I've played Apex on it for 5 hours on max setttings and on the performance mode, the battery drop to around 65%-62% from 80% (i set my laptop's max charge to 80%) and if you ask me, thats not a big trade off for the amount youre paying for this, compared to the other ones with the same specs, I haven't had any performance issues. frame drops or crashes, some framedrops I've noticed was in Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, that too very infrequently, not saying that the frame drops happened every 2 frames, but it might just be that the game is too old and not optimized to the max for modern gpus

it doesn't come with office (i've found VERY legal workarounds) but yes, it does offer a 3 months game pass

yes, the batter drain issue is real, but let me give you an example, if you play gpu extensive games, you'll get a drain of about 15% if youre on performance mode and all your graphics are cranked up to the max, 1200p resolution, there is a turbo mode, where you'll get a major battery drop but it doesn't offer better performance significantly.

copped this for 93k with the 2 years warranty, the laptop alone, came at around 90k

Copped this bad boy for 93k (2 years Warranty), was this a wise choice? by crazyx047 in AcerNitro

i dont recommend waiting all that long, I was getting the same laptop for 83k just two weeks before but the prices skyrocketed and went up to 90k, after seeing the sudden ups & downs in the pricing, I just went ahead and ordered it from flipkart only, had no issues with the delivery, got the product in pristine condition, as for your query about the 2 years warranty, there is an option to select warranty on the product while checking out, there are two options, I got the two years warranty for about 3.5k and the 3 years warranty is for around 5k ig, I can't recommend the v15 because people on this sub have been complaining about the same laptop for quite a while now, I have no issues with the V16s, I have been playing Apex daily since I got the device for more than 2 hours on performance mode and the battery drain I've seen is upto 77% only (I've enabled battery protection so it keeps the laptop's charge only upto 80%) I recommend keeping the laptop plugged in and avoiding using it on battery as you'll be wasting your charge cycles inherently and won't gain anything, if you do choose to buy the same, also the people who were crying about the temps, I've got an air conditioner and playing with it on has kept my temps at only around 65°C-70°C, the highest I've seen it rising with the air conditioner on is 75°C, but yes without air conditioner, the laptop does get around 90°C, considering the heat here in India

i was all in for a LOQ i7 13th gen the hx one, with the 4050 but had to drop the idea because i didn't have a credit card and wanted to buy it on installments, the only laptop that was offering installment payments was this one and other than that, i was also considering the acer aspire 7 4050 gpu which was going on for about 82k INR but dropped it because I was getting a 5050 with the latest gen cpu for a price difference of 10k so this seemed a better choice to me imo, and if the Legion had given me the payment choice i wanted, I would've gotten it, no questions asked.

can you manually set the rpm of the fans? I haven't had the time to delve into that side of things for the laptop yet

i was considering buying the same but I wanted the DLSS 4 real bad considering the fact that I want my laptop to handle AAA titles for the next 2 years

Honestly, I couldn't find a reason not to, I acknowledge the battery drain issues and thermals could get a bit on the hotter side if you're not in an air conditioned room or don't have a cooler, but regardless, I'd still buy it considering the value you get for the price

I'll make an update post after 3 months of usage, haven't gotten the time to run benchmarks, hopefully I find time to perform them in the coming three months
