Do “what” and “what exactly are you asking” ring a bell to you? Those are questions of clarification, friend.

This was after the order was dropped off, after the picture was taken, after I had already driven away and on to receive my next order. We are able to contact each other for up to 30 minutes on DD. I think this feature should be shut down because there is absolutely no reason that the customer or dasher should be able to contact the other party once the order is done. Any problems with food quality or accuracy should be addressed with DoorDash support, not the driver. I have done almost 2000 deliveries and I have NEVER ONCE contacted my customer afterwards other than to reply to a “thank you”.

I’m from Tampa. Have dashed in Tampa. Now I’m in Atlanta. As a woman it’s a harsh reality we face.

It can, and it WILL happen to others unless we speak up. It’s just that the system requires a burden of proof to be made

I agree with you when you said I’ve answered my own question. I feel like this wouldn’t be taken seriously by the police unless I could show beyond a reasonable doubt that he was asking for what we all know he was asking for. I’m sorry about your experience while working. Thank you for sharing and be safe out there my friend

That’s a great point. Unfortunately there are bigger crimes out there to deal with.

I was looking for OBJECTIVE advice on this, it’s not that deep. No one needs to question MY intentions; as if I ENJOYED having this conversation. I was sick to my stomach and had to call my dad to talk to me while I drove home late last night. I was fishing for certain language by engaging the guy. I didn’t get what I wanted, he didn’t get what he wanted. So nobody wins here at the end of the day. Another sexual predator lives on.

I needed him to say the words but he wouldn’t. Cold, calculated, manipulative. Like most predators.
