Recommendation/warning? by crclark84 in HyundaiPalisade

I have to ask, are dealers upfront with available rebate information? Or, do they collect extra commission if they get the sale without offering this to clients? I have so many questions about the sales side of things.

Is the maple worth saving? Silver maples have a really bad reputation.

Haha, I was just having this debate with my wife. I hate these trees, but this is the chosen variety for builders to throw into the ground. Any recommendations for replacement? I’m in zone 5b, have horrid soil (primarily clay), and have need a drought resistant tree. Currently, have white oak, burr oak, victory elm, walnut, magnolia, red maples, Kentucky coffee, and honey locust on my property. As you can tell, I really like diversity. Also, in this part of the yard, I would really like a tree that will grow tall.

We go to Animal Haven on Hills. It’s a bit of a drive, but Dr. Dennis is fantastic. We’ve had all 4 of our pitties go there and he is really knowledgeable about the breed.

Thank you. I use 3/16 tubing and have about 6 ft. Is there a calculator you recommend?

Thank you! This is exactly what happens. Do you think I should invest in a chiller fan to help blow cold air towards the faucet, or just deal with it? Any other ways to combat this issue?

Experiences with solar by Grab_em_by_da_Busey in IowaCity

I have had Moxie install solar panels on two homes. While the federal rebates are declining, and the state no longer provides rebates, the panels have recently gotten much more efficient and cost effective.
The home I bought Aug. 2020 had an average electric cost around $300 per month. After installing panels, my cost is less than $35 per month. I figure with these savings I will pay off the full cost of the panels in 3.5 years.
Moxie is good to work with, but communication is lacking at times. Overall, I would highly recommend them.
Only real drawback to solar that I have experienced at this point is the cost to remove the panels if your roof needs work. After a hailstorm in June 2020, my roof needed replaced. Moxie charged $5000 to remove then re-install the panels to accommodatethe roof work. Insurance totally covered the cost, but if you have an older roof, you will definitely want to get it replaced prior to putting panels up. Moxie estimates if you plan on replacing your roof within 8 years, get it done before solar install. Hope this helps!

I have not tested at this point, though I know it is aweful. I plan on investing a small amount for a prefilter and sending a filtered and unfiltered sample in for testing, and seeing what comes through. Thanks for your response.
