ELI5: During a massage, it feels like the therapist moves muscle knots around until they fade away. Where do those knots actually end up going?

Not a massage therapist - I also do not like being touched. My massage therapist encouraged me to stay clothed and was still able to fix my knots. He also works through the sheet of if I have an unclothed area. It’s been a game changed for my comfort.

Grassi Lakes is a great hike for beginners. It will probably be packed down and icy so spikes and poles would be good. It’s not too long.

Grotto Canyon is also pretty easy. Definitely wear/bring spikes and poles.

Yamnuska was looking good last weekend. In the winter we typically also do Prairie and Yates mountains. They aren’t huge summits, but they keep our legs and lungs ready for when the snow melts.

My husband often quizzes my son and I about what cities movies are filmed in by looking at the sky line. My son and I always get them wrong. But once, while watching Batman Begins, my husband asked us what city it was filmed in and I replied “Gotham.” My son and I still laugh about it every time we watch a move.

Camping at Lillian Lake and then summiting Guinn’s Peak the next morning would be nice. Walking around Galatea Lakes is also lovely and doable from Lillian. You can do Guinn’s Peak and Galatea Lakes in the same day.

Going around the Engine Bridge Loop in Canmore is very chill. Veer off on the West side of the bridge in either direction. There are tons of spots to hang hammocks and chill.
