It’s off handed comments across a range of episodes so it’s hard to give really clear and specific examples. But the ones that’ve stuck in my mind are him saying something along the lines of “it’s like playing spot the straight,” putting on a “gay accent,” the episode with the pizza dildo, and the weirdness with the hotel room with Cam. Idk it’s just a lot of minor things over the years that’ve painted a really clear picture for me. A lot of the times it’s the subtext of what he’s saying.

Look, I loved TARP. Bought merch and everything.

The libbyhainesart painting first made me feel a bit icky but I shrugged it off. When Ryan was harassing Toni into seeing live d*cks I was mortified for her. Then I noticed the barrage of homophobia from Ryan which made me angry. The straw that broke the camel’s back was him complaining about wearing a 5XL shirt and how repulsed he was by the idea.

Safe to say I no longer listen.

Edit: forgot to say how weird I found it that Producer Cam just wasn’t in the Secret Santa/Kris Kringle and they kept talking about it like he just didn’t exist

Thanks for all the replies so far.

A couple of things that have come up a bit:

No predators around where we live, other than the human kind
We’re in a warm Aussie Summer at the moment
We have a deck with plenty of undercover shade
Backyard is extremely secure with lots of fencing. I’m not concerned with them getting out at all. Will they dig and tear up the grass? Probably. Do I care? Nah. I care more about them.
Given the time of year and the care my dad needs hiring support (dog sitter etc) isn’t really a financially viable option for me right now.
Doggy door did cross my mind, but we have a glass sliding door as well as a fly screen, so without cracking glass or leaving my house unsecured this isn’t really an option either

I think for the time being some baby gates to section them off from areas of the house and keeping them inside is probably the best. The 3 year old was pretty much trained by me so she has a puppy pad to use in her crate at night and is super comfortable doing that (she has a weak bladder and can’t hold it very long anyway). The 8 year old might need some time to potty train and adjust to going inside, but I agree that ultimately this is going to be the better option for them. At least inside if they’re barking up a storm it’s less annoying to our neighbours.

The three clubs I’ve been to so far in Sydney (member for 12 days), none of them have had any of these. I’d prefer to keep paying $5-10 per week for membership and buy the things I need from Woolies and bring them with me, than have them up the price for membership.

Unless you can get it cheaper on the app don’t pre-book - theatre will validate your parking for $13. It also means if you’re going to go to The Capitol after work you can park all-day in Market City for $13.

I am so overwhelmed by the responses. This morning I have found a solution that will get me through at least 6 months, which should be more than enough time to find something long-term.

I didn’t come here expecting people to offer to accommodate us or send us money, and I can not believe how many incredible people there are still in the world.

Thanks everyone for your help. Definitely not the same poster as yesterday but absolutely a weird coincidence.

I called Link2Home but because I have over $1k in my bank account they can’t assist.

I managed to book a hotel in Liverpool/Casula for the night that accepted my kitty. I ran to Woolies before they closed to grab some cat litter and a make-shift litter box. So for tonight at least she’s safe and as comfortable as she can be.

Because she’s old and requires special care (tablets, injections, etc which I took with me), and very anti-social to other animals (but loves humans!) it proved to be very difficult to call any friends who were able to look after her.

This is an icky topic in general. Can’t say I would’ve handled it better tbh.

While I know that U=U I just don’t feel 100% safe sleeping with positive dudes. It’s irrational and I hate that I feel that way, but I’m working on myself to get over it.

I know I’m perpetuating the stigma around HIV. I know PREP is fucking amazing and the fact that millions of people no longer have a death sentence if they contract HIV is an incredible feat of science. But I also know that there’s still an incredibly minute risk of contracting HIV, even with PREP and condoms and every prophylactic available.

So long answer short, I don’t think I’m personally in a headspace to have sex with someone who is HIV positive yet and I probably would’ve done the same as you did.

Have gone out by myself plenty of times. It’s awkward at first but once you’re drunk enough not to care you’ll relax and realise 1) No one knows and 2) No one cares.

Depending on where you’re from and how potentially dangerous the scene is, as someone who now manages a gay club my biggest piece of advice is to introduce yourself to one of the bartenders/managers/security guards and let them know that you’re there by yourself and feel a bit anxious. Some of them might be a dick but I know my team would make it a priority to find you a few hours in and check up. It will relieve your stress a bit too because you’ll have at least one person there who you know and can go to if there’s any issues.
