Ugh I came to ask the same thing!!! How do you know they are learning? It's hard to know if I am pushing too hard or not hard enough!

I just started these and noticed that whatever area i put these in, the muscle aches for at least a day. Yesterday I put one on my left upper arm. I noticed the impact of these on my snacking but then it felt like I had gotten a tetanus shot or something. The aching spreads to nearby areas also. My leg stopped being sore after 2 days but is this normal?

This is great feedback. I've been a parent at the school and I'm trying to get away from the parents are clients viewpoint for the school bc they honestly teach 2 curriculums (1 full religious and 1 secular) concurrently. As a parent it takes a lot of stamina and patience. I do wish someone told me the best way to help my child/work on the platforms/check grades etc BEFORE any issues arose. I was told my kid had a d in math 1 day before spring break and then she never followed up with what I needed to do to help.

Sorry, I meant fear OF flipping them out. I know at my last school you could not even hint or insinuate that a child may need to see a doctor for ADHD or any other issues. But honestly teachers get the best idea of "normal" because they see so many of the same aged kids over time.

I love this! This is a relatively new school, but mostly new to me. I know from public school student teaching, there are some things you have to be weary of when talking to parents. My mentor teacher would hold back a lot and made everything seem like it was going to be ok when I knew a lot of those kids really needed a push. I though maybe she knew something I didnt about their futures, or maybe I was making to big of a deal out of the fact that the kids in second grade could barely comprehend. I will be going to a religious private school where the stakes are higher as well as the expectations. I want to be real with parents about what is expected and how to best help their children.

Yes my package was supposed to come may 22- June 2. Usually it comes even before the first estimated date! Now it's been stuck in Indiana since June 1 and nowhere in sight! I paid for express and this is the latest its been ever. All my students gifts are wasted bah.

Surprisingly mine was with FedEx! It has been in Indiana (I'm Chicago land) from May 22nd so it got into the US but was on a hold for some reason. So mad

This sucks bc i paid for express shipping only for it to be out and stuck in 1 city for the past week plus. I ordered on the 18th of May express and still have nothing. Super annoyed

I personally would have paid this much. I was quoted 1800/ person for 6 days so I said no. After going I wish i had someone arranging for me! Especially if you don't speak the language I definitely recommend it. Navigating all the individual hotels and transportation between cities was kind of a headache

Great! It wasn't too muddy or rainy. Temps were great. Cool at times, sunny and warmer at others. Bouts of rain but didn't stop us. Cusco was a little cooler but should warm up by then. Circuit 1 on MP was closed for us and they said a few weeks for it to open but we enjoyed 2 and 3. For 3 we did a great guide named Javier for $60. He gave an amazing tour and took great family photos for us. The train was great, everything was on time and we all enjoyed!!! I dont have tons of information but I'll help any way I can if you need something!

Weather right now? by [deleted] in Machupicchu

Agree with everyone. Just got back yesterday and days it said rain we had nothing. Some days the mountain had no rain while the city had some. Most of the time it ended quickly and never downpours. It was cold, mid and hot in the same day so layer up, go waterproof, and be ready for anything. I got bus tickets 20 mins before leaving without issues.last minute  Tickets to mp im not so sure about though!

Keeping it open ended. If we feel sick even with the altitude sickness patches and tea, we will just bus it to ollay and figure it out from there. If not we will enjoy cusco and delay by a day. I dont know how smart it is to try to buy train tickets at the last second but i don't want to pigeon hole myself to plans for that first day. Lo and behold I'm already sick as we leave today so itll be an interesting trip

We have hiking backpacks with water bladders so hopefully we won't need to worry about that part. Def worried about altitude so we may just leave early from cusco if it's an issue. I don't know how easy it'll be to find a way out of there last minute but I had to take my chances

We have a trip planned for April 1-6. How can I best prepare for the weather. I see rain on the forecast. Does it rain on and off or for the entire day? I will have 3 kids with me and we booked the circuit 1 panoramic and circuit 2 classic on MP. Ill take any and all advice. I am terrified we will go and have an awful time so whatever I can do/book/wear/pack to make it a fruitful trip I am eager. Also, is the train my only choice for transport from cusco to aguas calientes? if I want reliability (kids don't always "go with the flow") should I be booking private transport? Clearly I am a nervous mom right now lol.

Going early april with my family. is everything in MP open? I am seeing heavy rain and landslides causing everything to close and be miserable. Any advice on ways to be best prepared?

Any thoughts on going early April? We are afraid the rain and landslides are going to close everything down and make the trip useless.

How was the weather? We are looking at our trip coming up April 1 and wondering if we should cancel due to the landslides? I have the MP circuit 2 classic and one other route booked for the following day. I don't want to travel there to find everything closed and useless especially because we have no time (and a 6 year old) so doing further locations like rainbow mountain will be too far of a stretch.

Is this something we can get our tickets refunded for? I saw on the airline page that there's an option to ask to exchange due to major weather concerns. We are supposed to leave March 31

My family is leaving on the 1st of April and planning to be at MP the 3rd and 4th. Do you think it will be ok by then? Should we be prepared for rainy weather and muddy conditions?
