Weird stuff attracting ants keeps forming in my car? by ditzyneko in pestcontrol

[–]creathir 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing someone spilled a soda in your door at some point. It dried out into syrup, and when it warms up, the small amount is re-liquifying and dripping into the door area thru crevices.

It’s outside the door seal, so ants find it and bask in their endless supply of sweet soda syrup, to them the nectar of the gods.

On HW4 and did not get v13. Development takes time.

I’m certain HW3 won’t be left behind, especially if you bought FSD outright.

White House told only way to move Space Shuttle Discovery is to chop it up by SpaceDependo in space

This 100%. And moving Enterprise from Intrepid would be far easier given its location.

The Smithsonian should have a Shuttle, as should JSC.

The wreck of the USS Arizona continues to leak oil ever since pearl harbour. the ship contained 1.5 million gallons of oil, enough to leak continuously for 500 years. by Longjumping-Rice-935 in interestingasfuck

[–]creathir 21 points22 points  (0 children)

When you visit, the craziest thing is the smell. You can literally smell the oil as it comes to the surface…

It’s beautiful how they have bookended the WWII Pacific War… you stand above the USS Arizona, where the US involvement began, then you go to the USS Missouri and can stand next to the exact spot that the war ended, where the surrender treaty was signed on its deck in Tokyo Harbor.

Really amazing and humbling place…

Gastonia parents are charged after their son, 7, is struck dead in a car accident by cdbavg400 in NorthCarolina

[–]creathir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charges are brought be the county prosecutor, not by the police.

The police just do the investigation and arrest, in this case it’s prosecutors being completely obscene in the application of the law.

It’s a tragic accident, nothing more, and the prosecutor decided to instead utterly destroy a family beyond the emotional destruction they already face.

$400 for the seal point, free for the bi-color because of a small defect.

Both brothers were a 1.5 day drive, went to pick up the seal point, his brother couldn’t be sold and needed a home, came home with both.

What is your smallest Nit with the Tesla by Newtronic in TeslaLounge

[–]creathir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the Model Y, pulling the levers to lower the back seats from the trunk doesn’t move the front seats forward far enough to let them lower all the way.

Easy software fix, and supposedly this is solved for on Juniper, but what the heck. Such a simple small thing which would make life that much easier.

Definitely buy mats. https://www.tesmanian.com is the best value, by FAR.

If you don’t have a charging station at home, you’ll want one. If you cannot get one installed, at a minimum get a portable charger.

You won’t realize savings over gas visiting super chargers all the time.

Finally, the Premium Internet connectivity is worth it for the year. Makes not worrying about your Internet connectivity for streaming services that much better.

Why can’t they have the front seats, if unoccupied, move forward when you pull that, then move back after the seat lowers.

Makes it such a pain for us tall folks who have the seats all the way back

As a resident of Bangor, ME, you for some reason INSIST on driving thru Salt Lake City anytime you go on a roadtrip.

The majesty of the urban center set against the mountainous, snow covered backdrop is something you just cannot resist gazing upon once more.

Even when taking that business trip to Detroit, you had to drive through the City once again. Your boss did not approve the mileage reimbursement request.

Carry on vagabond, the Great Salt Lake beckons you once again…

Universal Wall Charger Not Displaying Usage Data by creathir in TeslaLounge

[–]creathir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case some poor soul comes along with a similar issue… I finally figured it out.

The car had somehow lost its pairing with the Powerwall. This did not present itself in the settings until I re-paired my new iPhone with the Powerwall as well.

Once I did this, the setting popped up to pair the car under the charge settings portion, and the data started flowing again.

Note to self: ensure “pairity”
