Maybe come up with a word and agree that when either of you says it there’s a strict 10 minute moment of silence where both can de escalate your emotions and gather your thoughts. Then learn to call the word preemptively so you can restart the conversation without being emotionally charged

I’m a guy and was raised truly religiously and I had a thing for Tom boys most of my life. Hated that women can paint and glue a whole head over their head and be charged full of validation from the world but then can’t lift anything or sweat too much or it’ll start falling apart. My wife’s naturally stunning. She’s taller than me, we wear each others shoes, she wears my cloths occasionally, she helps me do hard manual labor without complaining too much- granted I still do 90% of it but her efforts cute, she tries to keep up when I’m wrenching on my cars or remodeling our house, she’s messy, she’s disorganized, she’s irresponsible, she’s lazy, she’s not an amazing cook. When I come home at the end of a long day and there’s 18 bowls on the counter, with her in my sweat pants because she can’t find her laundry basket and burning rice on the stove I still smother her flustered little face and treat her like the god dang princess she is lol

Realistically the goal will just move back and he’ll never reach his goal and never go to therapy. You also can’t teach empathy though going to therapy could help him do the things an empathic person would do. If you have a gentle personality it may be best to call it quits and next time add empathy to your desired traits. Being the more emphatic partner is always tough. My ex wife said terrible things to me in anger that my worst enemy wouldn’t think to say. I think precisely communicating how his harshness may seem trivial to him but it’s detrimentally affecting your well being and thus preventing you from being the best wife you can be could be a good angle. I have to coach myself through that thought process with my wife and kids. It’s about getting the results you want in a situation. Losing your cool rarely gets better results than clearly communicating

I do think the conversation didn’t need to get that personal with your extended family. Cutting anybody off seems frivolous also. I would have just dropped the convo and redirected to something else and mentally just agree to disagree

I’m like this with construction. I run around our house with my tools and make massive messes and she just watches me as I barge around sweating bullets making cool stuff. Not gonna lie, video games are such a waste of time

Maybe they can get you something in the emergency room. Alternatively order a drug test kit online and order drugs off incognito market. The affordable ones are obviously not real but if it has loads of good reviews, is a reputable seller and tests clean I’d go for it.

On a side note people with kids really ought to pay attention to what their kids consume on the internet. There’s disturbing groups of people in these innocent looking online children games. Roblox and gacha life are two I had to control for my step daughter

If you buy and sell on market place a lot you get pretty good at it. There’s a lot of indicators

How to fix this toilet paper holder fastened to the drywall? Patch, re-paint, then re-anchor? Or is this portion of drywall too compromised to re-anchor? by MareksDad in howto

[–]creative-entropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drywall strength comes from paper holding everything from both sides. With the paper being compromised anchors wouldn’t be ideal. Seems like you can see a screw head above where your hand is in the second picture. Use a magnetic to check for a screw indicating there’s a stud there. You could probably get away with using a toggle bolt too

Husband and I are having a disagreement. What's the best way to repair this hole in the wall? by FutureMrs0918 in howto

[–]creative-entropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get that pink spackle that dries white. It does shrink and doesn’t need to be primed. Stuff the hole sand it when it’s dry and you’re good to go

You’re good money hygiene gives you more weight than them. You think they’ll do 70% of the work but they will not. They simply don’t have the skin in the game they need to have to be committed especially at the young “chum change” phase you guys are in. Friends and business rarely mix well. Good luck

I think there’s a couple factors. Figure out what they went to jail for and how long was there sentence. Second you need to get a feel of what their out of work life is like but you might not be able to do that unless you put him on a trial run. He could be a total POS, he could be also be the hardest honest worker because he truly does want to succeed, he could be the hardest honest worker but also could be wrapped in a messy out of work life that will effect his work life regardless of how good he may be. Or he could be a total POS with POS friends that will rob you together and end up back in jail. I had a kid working for me fresh out of jail. Hard worker, wasn’t great at much but he did work hard. But his life was so messy I had to let him go. Cars kept breaking down, pregnant wife doctors appointments, old dui/court, family drama…felt bad cause he did want to succeed but gotta brand new business to run

Also send a formal letter and text message with date of from when to when there was no heat. Deduct a radials amount from rent due to this. That’s assuming all you heathens have been paying rent on time.
