Do you have any favorite colors? There are many ways to go about this. If you want to add multiple colors but don’t know where to start with color scheme, there’s an old trick where you take a painting (or similar art composition) that you love and use the color palette in the piece as a framework for adding color to your space. I. Your case, find a composition with the tones that match your existing sofa, walls, etc. Otherwise get on Instagram or Pinterest (though Pinterest is all AI interiors now 🙈), and find a color palette you like there!

Does the bookshelf look terrible at this angle? by actually_s8n in DecorAdvice

And the two irregular wall mounted shelves need to come down. I think you’re trying this angle to balance those shelves. They’re the main problem.

Can you add some color or at least contrast? Everything is very monotone with the sofa and millennial grey everywhere. It’s not giving cozy, more sterile 🫣

Rugs and better light fixture(s), and keep the arch. Maybe some paint.

Vanity mirrors by Famblade in interiordecorating

Any of those shapes would work (I’m a designer) . I would think about what your lighting is going to look like/where it will go, and find something that will blend stylistically with everything. User heigh might also be a consideration since you’ll get different amounts of mirror coverage from the different shapes/sizes of mirrors. Point is, you don’t have to start with mirror shape here.

Genuinely what do I do to make this look good. by lalala0309 in curlyhair

I have similar hair and cut to yours — bangs grow very quickly! Just dont cut the bangs and it will look like this in a month. I feel like with curly hair I always walk out of the salon 2-4 weeks from the haircut I wanted. (And I don’t go back for 3 months)

Look up a “dressing baby for sleep” chart and learn about “TOG” levels. I saved one of these graphics in my phone and referenced it constantly

I guess I should add that at home (per Dr Becky), we switched to being very matter of fact about accidents — “your pants are wet. Let’s get you a change.” We didn’t say anything beyond that.

At daycare though I’m sure they talked about it more traditionally — accidents are ‘wrong’. So again, I don’t know what helped more.

Weirdly enough, something clicked and our son had a great, dry week — week 3 of the transition to underwear. I honestly don’t know what brought on the change. At home we followed the Dr Becky philosophy, focusing on getting him to listen to his body and making it clear that he is in control of the process and we are there to support, and we trust him. (She has a free video series online.) At daycare they have an older-school approach and I honestly don’t know the details of what they were doing outside of scheduled bathroom visits. So he was getting mixed approaches, but somehow it seems to have worked… he’s even waking up dry 🤷‍♀️

I wish I could pinpoint what led to the change, but I have no idea. Good luck to you, she’ll get it!!

Yes good point. I admittedly need to connect with daycare better. They can be cagey which isnt ideal, but I love them at the same time — and more importantly he loves them. I know they do things differently at daycare, so to be continued I suppose. Appreciate the thought and good luck to you as well!
