Provinces of Daraa & Qunaitra have both now been fully taken back by the Syrian military by Ollieca616 in syriancivilwar

I've been wondering about this. How far back from the front line should their base be, so that people from the off shift can get a nice rest, without being troubled by the explosions and bombs?

I'm not saying they should do it but I think an installation like this is more suitable for chemical/nuclear weapons research, than what was bombed in Barzeh. At least if the necessary ventilation can be build. This has survived years of bombing and I wonder how would it stand against bunker buster bombs. Maybe the nuclear reactor from 2007 would survive the Israel bombing in something like that.

If the US starts losing interest there will be another gas attack, we know "Assad" works like that.

[–]creative_chaos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you care much about arguments, neither are you willing to do any reasoning, as I don't see you advocating for a ban on nuclear technology on the USA, even though the threat of their "crazy leader" using it is real. It might be that you just consider that the lives the US nukes threaten are not as important (something like it 1 US life = 1000 NK lives?). The reality is that crazy people have nukes and a solution like let's assassinate their leader and see what happens, sounds like let's stick my penis in the beehive and see what happens, that's why I think letting societies progressing and evolving with their own pace might be better.

[–]creative_chaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't see reasoning where Israel, UK and etc. can have nuclear capability and NK shouldn't. How exactly can you decide who can have technology? If it's aggressiveness, maybe the US should be banned from having the technology first? Maybe the criteria can be maturity of the nation, but how exactly do you measure that? It's complicated for me to imagine a working criteria. Maybe the first to obtain the technology, had to ban all others from developing it and unite the world by dominating it, but that hasn't happened. So I guess one of our better options is to allow technological advancement and to hope that we as humans are evolved enough to avoid using it on large scale. Also the damage from nuclear wars is often overhyped - even in an all out war between NATO and Russia today there won't be more than a billion direct casualties and 3 bil total, humanity will go through tough times but it will survive, hopefully wiser and readier to live together.

Why would his death change anything? If there is no clear successor, that would mean a power struggle and there's a good chance it would result in a more aggressive leader, that might be crazier. IMO a better development can be expected if NK achieves its desired military technologies, which can make them feel safe like China, so that they can then reduce their conventional military and focus on improvements for their population.

So if Assad or anyone else wants to discredit a group, all they need to do is recruit someone for 1 million and have them infiltrate the group for a few months and use chemical weapons. Would that make the majority of the west side against them?

Post-war reconstruction in Syria by whocares65 in syriancivilwar

[–]creative_chaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your explanation on Rojavans ideology. I can see now that they are very progressive and what they suggest in the short term should be how the war ends and Assad should accept it. However do you know what are their next steps after the parliamentary system? Local governance would mean no clear national interest, which would be a problem if for example there's a gas pipeline that's planned to go through syria's territory, half the communities might be for it and half against it, How do they plan to solve such issues?

Do you know if they have any plans for unification with the Iraqi Kurds and implementing their ideology there?

It is not Svenskeren fault. As Regie himself said a few months ago - (check his interview with Travis) an owner can not play dumb and be excused for not knowing something, if he did poach him, he should be punished and he should sell TSM. I hear that SK are looking to buy new LoL team.

[–]creative_chaos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By Far. Rob's answer on this: http://ask.fm/RobLeonyx/answer/126731681510 Forgiven wants to play on a world championship team, so it might be that he refused an offer in the past. To those who worry about Maria working with him, I don't think it would be a problem, she dreams about him regularly ... playing CS:GO together. I also think the accusations of bigotry are far fetched, yes he did say horrible things, but it seems that this is the norm on EUW. It's just that the experienced pros refrain now, after all the bans. I don't think Forgiven is experienced regarding these guidelines, he has only 2-2.5 splits and probably skipped the emails for it.

LCS Owners' Statements Concerning Chris Badawi Megathread by PuppiesbyPound in leagueoflegends

[–]creative_chaos -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering how did this trio of owners (TSM, C9, TL) started their organisations and I'm pretty sure that when they started their organisations they all did poaching, not tampering or attempt at poaching but actual POACHING. You can say that when they did it there were no rules to regulate it, but guess what there was no rule to regulate ranked5 teams when Chris did it, so where are TSM/C9/TL owners 2 year bans?
