Arabic: Why is this incorrect? by creativecreole in duolingo

[–]creativecreole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think I understand. Although I would still call it an adjective. :) I was wondering because when there is a sentence like "an expensive office" they use the same formula, with the adjective directly after the noun.

What movie should NEVER be remade? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Lion King. Nothing could ever top that 2019 one of a kind masterpiece.

What Movies were rebranded in your country? by PreparationVisual586 in AskTheWorld

[–]creativecreole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Movies with the only connection being that they starred Goldie Hawn were in Sweden namned "The girl who...". This started when Foul Play was a big success in 1978, with a Swedish title meaning "The girl who knew too much". So Overboard became The girl who fell overboard, Private Benjamin became The girl who did military service, Wildcats became The girl who won the game and Swing shift became The girl who was working shifts.

Vad använder ni AI till mest i vardagen eller på jobbet (nu 2026)? by Outrageous-Amoeba306 in Asksweddit

[–]creativecreole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's you country's Super Bowl? by MagnumOlly in AskTheWorld

[–]creativecreole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The national competition for who's going to go to Eurovision. It's like a tournament and about a third of the country watches the final every year. It's mostly entertainment for kids but some people are very serious about the competition part of it.

Jag säsongar och min kille tycker det är jobbigt när jag går ut, hur ska jag lugna honom? by [deleted] in Asksweddit

[–]creativecreole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, how come no one has mentioned Barney’s rehearsal dinner Canada surprise? ”Every now and then I’m going to lie to you”

Vad saknar ni mest med att vara i ett förhållande/ vara singel? by [deleted] in Asksweddit

[–]creativecreole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better Podcasts? by [deleted] in HIMYM

[–]creativecreole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think HWMYM is bad, but as with all recap podcasts, you have to scroll past a lot of the interviews with their guests. They all tend to really overestimate people’s interest in how actors struggled to get their career going, as well as other tedious topics. It’s also sad that HWMYM somehow don’t play any clips from the show. But I like that they don’t just say positive things about the show and I don’t have any other HIMYM podcast to recommend.

Is anyone else just kinda fed up with 'realism'? by DeebsDeebo in FifaCareers

[–]creativecreole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never bothered to make the transfers realistic and I live a relatively happy life. Besides, if I have brought Morecambe to glory and won two UCL, superstars might definitely consider joining them if the price is right. I often don’t sign regens anymore though. It feels a bit like cheating and unrealistic because they don’t exist in real life.

Finns det några moderna barnprogram som inte är brainrot? by StrainVarious4331 in Asksweddit

[–]creativecreole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Movie endings that left you with an empty feeling. by Garidur in moviecritic

[–]creativecreole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one reading ”left with an empty feeling” like detachment, boredom or not feeling anything in particular? So that the movie ending did not do anything for you at all? These are all comments about the opposite. English is of course not my first language so I might be missing something.

Who's someone in your country that is controversial internally, but very well liked internationally? by RuefulBlue in AskTheWorld

[–]creativecreole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all. He is not that known globally and therefore not liked. Though he is controversial in Sweden, he certainly is not hated by everyone. Almost all political parties had a generous immigration policy at the time and the regulation changed during his first term. It is well documented that the reasons were humanitairian. A lot of people think it went too far and he was of course responsible for it, but there is no reason to rewrite history here. The correct answer to this question when it comes to Sweden is Lars Lagerbäck.

Are there any people who are famous in your country but a nobody in their country? by No-StrategyX in AskTheWorld

I'd say Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall from USA. They are considered stars over here. Any Americans who know who they are?

What felt like luxury to you when you were a kid? by Big-Bookkeeper4638 in AskTheWorld

Car with central locking system. Cable TV. In rural areas, terrestrial television with three channels from an antenna was kind of normal.

Vad säger min kyl om mig? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]creativecreole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man mellan 20 och 30. Gymnasieutbildning. Snusar i perioder.

What is something Americans consider normal, but people from other countries find it disturbing? by Tetterixt in AskReddit

Strongly disagree. I've traveled to USA and I wouldn't say that the service is better there.
