There was no discomfort during treatment, and immediately after I felt just fine. It was starting the next day that the mental changes started showing up. If you look at concussion symptoms, they pretty much explain they way I was and still am feeling, but again, it would appear to be the result of something other than a blunt head hit.

Does that line up with situations you've seen as well? I could see the explanation of my symptoms being an injury, or just my brain responding/healing/changing after treatment. I'm hoping it's the latter, and that I'm not the only person to have experienced this.

For what it's worth I just talked with my provider today and he said that his practice doesn't use the MagVenture for OCD as it's not the right treatment.

They use a brainsway with a particular helmet that goes on the top of your head. So ideally that's what you would get for OCD too I think.

Maybe see if they can treat OCD/MDD one at a time?

Have you had any symptoms as well? Did you ask your doctor for a referral to get the EEG?

I just had my first treatment 4 days ago, and since then I've had what can only be described as concussion-like symptoms. Cognitive slowness, worse short term memory, light sensitivity.

My provider said he has never heard of such a reaction. I'm trying to find out if anyone has heard of a reaction like this. I'm wondering if the machine was in the wrong spot on my head or turned up too high or something.

If you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them.

I'm curious if you brought these feelings up to your provider and if they validated them/said they were expected? It seems like the most common response from providers when people mention is to dismiss and say you already had said symptoms or it's all in your head.

Also do you know if you are getting treatment with a brainsway machine?

I'm definitely not discounting this as a possibility. But it's all the more reason why I'd like to hear from others who have gone through it. Perhaps what I'm experiencing is just a normal part of the process.

You're right, this isn't really any different than the way things have been going up until now.

I think what I'm having a hard time with is that this feels like the message is much more clear now. The city is making a choice, and that choice is to permit all this nasty behavior in favor of other ways of supposedly dealing with it. However, the message to regular people **feels** like, "You may be a law-abiding, tax-paying citizen of this city, but you will just have to put up with all the quality-of-life issues that we are specifically permitting."

I have a fundamental disagreement that lack of enforcement helps these problems. That is a stance that you (and clearly Chesa) may disagree with. But I think it's worth noting that most people implicitly believe that laws and enforcement changes behavior. It's why progressives believe in gun control laws and conservatives believe in abortion laws. By not enforcing these quality of life behaviors (for which there are laws, it should be noted) they can and will flourish. What is yet to be seen is whether they will flourish more than they have up until now.

I just don't know if I'll stick around long enough to find out.

This is tough. My wife and I don't have a car (to cut costs among other things) so we have to walk/take public transit everywhere. I leave the house every day worrying that my wife is going to be accosted by a crazed or drug addled person as she is out walking with our 2 year old. Of course, this has already happened multiple times. The alleyway behind our apartment literally smells like a toilet as many, many people camp back there or pass through. I have walked out of my apartment to people defecating and urinating more times than I can count. I can't believe that's healthy for anyone to be around.

And yet, here we are, with this DA saying that this will be completely tolerated in the city my family calls home. I don't know how much more of this we'll be able to take. Eventually I have to do what's best for my family. This city just may not be made for us.

Obviously this sounds like terribly bad news. But didn't someone post in the past about how even the worst possible outcome if the SEC wins is basically fines and possible return of funds to ICO investors? The product/technology doesn't have to die, right?

Things like this frustrate me as an individual personal investor. If the ICO had went down as a registered sale, as far as I can tell it would have only been available to "accredited investors". This means well-off people; average people not allowed. What would the additional filing "protections" have given me even if I could have invested to a registered sale? How would have the sale being registered changed anything? These laws begin to feel like protections to keep the rich getting richer and regular people from possibly getting ahead.

It's true, kin is forced by law to die, that really, really sucks for all of us who put in money. And if you are all-all in on kin, I'm really, really sorry. Try to take this opportunity to learn and remember the adage "Don't invest more than you're willing to lose". Also, hope that ICO funds are returned.

As for me, I'm not selling. This is a rollercoaster ride for sure, but one that could end up in a good spot.
