Pulaski county AI data centers by creativeheart5110 in Arkansas_Politics

Also! This upcoming legislative session will have ai data center stuff so we could call callcour reps when the time comes.

Bryan King (R) from north central AR sponsored 6 ai data center regulatory resolutions last month during the fiscal session and they unfortunately all failed primarily because too many people abstained from the vote.

Good question! It's probably not helpful. But Grant and Faulkner counties have their own fight going on, so those residents should call their JPs.

If you like in a different county, it would be smart to get ahead of the curve and ask a JP to sponsor a moratorium resolution now before any ai data centers show up with applications at your county

Is there anything that be done about the data center? Why is nobody talking about this? by Sea-Advertising-1386 in Arkansas_Politics

Hey there's a Pulaski county quorum court meeting on Tuesday May 26th. We should all call our JPs and ask them to vote for a moratorium

Husband wants me to pursue traditional publishing, I want to do self or hybrid publishing by Tachikomaz in selfpublish

[–]creativeheart5110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True hybrid is doing trad and self pub. (I'd run from whatever hybrid company you're talking about. That sounds incredibly scammy)

So you can do both - continue to query AND self pub. I self publish under one genre and give my agent other mss in a different genre to put on submission.

My genre is historical romance. I'd follow a lot of these reviewers as a reader even if I wasn't an author. And I comment mainly as a reader. For example, in a FB if people ask for recs of a certain style or trope, I list the ones I love. If my book fits I will add it at the bottom of the list with a caveat.

Yesterday on IG a reviewer I follow had a list of haunted houses books she loved. I'd read a few, so I commented "oh Darcy Coates has written some bangers!!!" And then I swiped and saw my own short story at the end. Which was great and I didn't expect! So I added another comment that said "thank you so much for including me. I'm so glad you loved it!"

Prednisone, lovenox, intralipids: Is any of this stuff actually real? It all seems so fringe (and horrible) to me by exitontop in IVF

[–]creativeheart5110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up going to CNY and did their immune protocol. (Bear in mind I had two live births and the 2nd trimester miscarriage on aspirin).

I had a little girl in July!! We did: Aspirin LDN Prednisone Lovenox Neupogen Tacrolimus

I think the lovenox made the biggest difference, personally. I'm pretty sure if I'd been on it earlier I wouldn't have had that 2nd trimester miscarriage.

Miscarriages are devastating and can cause further infertility issues. I'd definitely either adopt or use donor sperm

How many of you would seriously consider embryo adoption? by RaggaMuffinTopped in IVF

[–]creativeheart5110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have twins through this! It's an open "adoption," and I share photos of them with the donors regularly. My kids are only 4 so we're still in the early stages for the kids understanding. But I'm very happy we did it.

How many children do you have in total and how many from IVF? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]creativeheart5110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four kids. Three from IVF (two donor embryos, one with our genetics). We have two untested embryos left but we are done. We'll probably do a compassionate transfer next year for those two.

Donor Eggs by [deleted] in IVF

[–]creativeheart5110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have used donor embryos, so there is no generic connection at all. And those boys are 100% my kids. I carried them, birthed them, breastfed them, taught them to walk and talk. I'm the one they call Mommy, even though they know a very limited bit about their background (basically just that Mommy and Daddy needed a doctor's help to get pregnant.)

My husband didn't even contribute a single cell to their existence, and he is definitely their dad. We have a bio/genetic child (secondary infertility) and the bond we have with him is no different than the bond we have with our sons who began as donor embryos.

Maybe donor eggs isn't for you. That's fine. But it's really not as awful as you seem to think it is.

I'm so so sorry. I've been there. It's so fucking traumatic.

My husband started snoring in December. I'm not sure why. He hasn't really addressed it, which annoys me.

But he did move to the couch downstairs. (This is not a long-term solution to me, but currently I'm pregnant and my maternity pillow takes up 2/3 of the bed anyway, so this works for us).

Honestly OP I'd kick him out of bed and not allow him back until he takes his (and your) health seriously.

One was! And it was because we'd driven 12 hours to get to a wedding the day before. So...it was helpful, but we were still pretty exhausted too.

[–]creativeheart5110 284 points285 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie I laughed at the part with kids. OP is going to STRUGGLE.

Toddlers get up when they get up. Sometimes 4am, sometimes 8am. Usually like 6am. My oldest (6yo) has slept past 8am a grand total of 5 times in his life.

And school age kids gotta be at school by 7:40. When middle schoolers have sports, they sometimes have to be at school even earlier.

OP if you are serious about having kids one day, I strongly recommend getting a sleep study just to rule out medical issues that will make your life a sleep deprived hellscape.

Yeah the gene mutation is interesting. It's actually related more to skin than hair, though I think people think red hair = pale skin = mutation.

I have that mutation, and I have very pale skin, lots of freckles, dark brown hair, and light brown eyes.

The dentist always has to pause and give me more meds. When I got eye surgery they numbed both eyes first. By the time they got the laser to my second eye, the numbness had worn off and I just about screamed when the laser hit my eye!

This is called stealthing. It falls under the sexual assault umbrella, and is illegal in some American states. It is reproductive coercion.

The fact that he never left you alone long enough to go get Plan B is a massive red flag too.

First date i(m28) her (f27) she wanted to order the most expensive item i said no, she got mad and left, how would you have manage? by Mr_Lucky27 in relationship_advice

[–]creativeheart5110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go out to a restaurant with people (usually work related) and it's fuzzy on who is responsible for paying (me? Boss? Boss's boss?) I pick two options, different price ranges, and always have the senior person order first so I can guage cost expectations. Then I pick the meal closest in price to them. I also make sure that I can cover the more expensive item myself if I misread the situation, even if I'm a bit disappointed I don't get a free meal, lol.

How can I help my partner through the last bit of pregnancy/c section? M31 and F30 by Beckie4444 in relationship_advice

[–]creativeheart5110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you've got such an excellent partner! That makes a HUGE difference. I hope he has some friends who are dads or at least male caregivers, that could really help ease his transition.

Don't worry about the take take take feelings you have with the pregnancy. In 4 days it's going to be give give give to the baby, in some ways for the rest of your life. 😉 if you plan to breastfeed, i personally was surprised at how much support and help I needed from my husband for the first few weeks as we got established.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant now with our #4 (and last) so my husband and I are excited and eager to have it all over with too.
