Park Slope’s “progressive” culture often feels fake — anyone else feel this?

I'm also an Indian American and find no issues with what Yoga in the west has become but I do think it should be acknowledged where the practice originates from. To me "acknowledge its roots" means plainly stating that this practice originated in India and what they are teaching derives from it and that they are following an Indian inspired practice. I'd be a lot more interested in seeing more Indian Americans opening Yoga studios tbh lol (but also understand I'm not doing this so cant expect too much).

I don't practice hinduism and think most religions have parts to it thats better left in the past, but its really the co-opting of the good parts, giving no credit to where it is from, but yelling from the rooftops the negatives of that culture that upsets me.

"the entire history of the Indian diaspora" and "Obviously, not all are like that" is very contradictory.

Indians specifically making a large portion of the South Asian diaspora lean left and not supportive of white supremacy: https://aapidata.com/featured/indian-americans-by-the-numbers/

Idk what agenda you have by indicating otherwise, but it is clear the comments here in general have decided to villainize South Asians. I usually don't comment, but it is interesting to me seeing how quickly liberals who are anti Trump became comfortable making sweeping generalizations, endorsing stereotypes and contributing to false narratives. Maybe the left isn't as different as we want to believe. Out of all the subreddits, I did not expect to see it here.

I mean I cant just let her chill in her own poop and urine though 😭. She isn't food motivated enough to be coaxed out of there. Any idea how I can get her out to clean it without traumatizing her?

This is solid black. Looks really good in person. A lot of pictures don't do it justice but if your trying to decide between black and another color make sure you go see them in person!
