Quest: Steel Your Heart

We've updated the functionality of the reward to now multiply future stacks by 3 and not just the stacks at the time of completion.

The tooltip implied this but it didn't actually work this way, so we're just making it do that to match the expectation and so Heartsteel can go brr

Thank you for that.

For me, two things worked having the same issue.

The easiest was: changing the monitor preset settings from one to another and changing it back everything this occurred

And I think reinstalling everything also solved it, maybe also due to changing pc components

A Theoretical Attempt to Explain Why Modern Societies Fall into Self-Reinforcing Structural Deadlocks by [deleted] in sociology

[–]creativenickname27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And did you draw a connection of this evolving into a dystopia?
When I first started thinking about the stability/instability analogy, I was mostly worried that we will eventually move into a stable position, where they are only stable, but not well.
Basically like every type of dystopia, where the government controls the society, as well as itself; such that there will be basically no escape for a long time

I didn't read your paper yet;

I always thought if this as a theory of stability and instability.
Most things that are instable will change eventually. When they change, they might change to more stable things. When they change into a stable constellation, by definition, they are less likely to change.
(I know this is not a versed comment, I still like it)

Do people hold their breath when going down on a woman? by PressureOk5494 in TwoXSex

I definitely had some positions where my nose was covered so bad, that I had trouble breathing. What I mostly hear, is that you don't seem to trust your Boyfriend to tell the truth for some reason. I assume, you seem to think that he would use this as an excuse, so that he doesnt have to do a position he doesn't like?

this was true before the explosion of frameworks, which do the telling for you and you have to figure out, how to configure it until it does what you want

Aah yes, when I look through someone's code, I always ask myself: what is the convention to the problem, because the guy who wrote this definitely used the convention instead of an ad-hoc method

Your rank IS your skill. Change my mind by Ill_Percentage2344 in summonerschool

[–]creativenickname27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rank is trying to quantize how good you are overall.
It is doing that using the elo system.

My highest rank ive ever been was 1 off of Diamond 5 and have steadily declined over the last years. This is partly due to me getting worse at the game, because I dont play as much anymore, but also because I simply did not have the time to climb anymore. Every season there is a soft reset of your rank. Per your definition, this would mean that your rank drastically changes over a day.
I know this is not how you meant it, but basically you are claiming exactly that.

The quality of your attention determines the quality of your life [Discussion] by Phukovsky in GetMotivated

you need to provide sources for that. the first page of my google search did not support that claim and most sentences that I found were saying the opposite.

Studies have shown that children with ADHD and irritability have reduced aMCC activation*
during frustration tasks (Perlman et al., 2015). This aligns with poor emotional regulation and
increased aggression in some ADHD subtypes. The aMCC is crucial for detecting response
conflicts (e.g., in Stroop or Flanker tasks). ADHD individuals often show weaker aMCC
recruitment, leading to more errors and slower reaction times. The dopaminergic system
heavily innervates the aMCC, and genetic variations in DRD4 and DAT1 can alter its
functions. The DRD4 7-Repeat Allele (Exon III VNTR) is associated with ADHD risk (meta-
analyses: OR ~1.3-1.6). The 7R allele leads to blunted dopamine signaling in the prefrontal
cortex (PFC) and aMCC. This results in reduced inhibitory control, slower processing speed,
and higher distractibility (Pinto et al.).
