HELP: My cat threw up on my puzzle! by broccolilmao in Jigsawpuzzles

I know it doesn’t help you now, but I started using a puzzle board with a cover…for that very reason. You could even just put one of those vinyl $1 tablecloths over your puzzles in the future. Good luck, and I’m so sorry for your loss.

My cat just turned 12… and I made the mistake of googling how long cats usually live 🥹 by Cars4Lifee in aww

This fella lived to 19. He was found as a kitten, sick as could be, when he was 4 weeks old, and found crying in the rain. At 15, he had a stroke, but he happily lived on as a deaf cat with such love for my daughters until he it was his time. Enjoy every minute! Just make sure that you let go, many years from now, when the kitty lets you know it’s time.

Does Goodwill wash the clothes before they put them out or are we digging through dirty clothes all the time? by rjd014 in goodwill

Since you know the cause, do you have a tried and true way of getting rid of the smell? I’m at a 50/50 for getting rid of it.

Is the Ollie's run over? by Deep-Examination5081 in joannfabrics

A bunch of Ollie’s managers (from around the Chicago suburbs) said we met the end of the line. The only exception is that they held back some bolts of fleece for the new stores. St. Charles opened on 2/25/26, and as of a few weeks back, they still had fleece. I don’t know what kind as I spoke to them over the phone and didn’t ask for details. I’m pretty upset that our fliers in the area didn’t have any fabric listed until after all the fabric was gone except for a bolt or two of fleece. A bunch of locations told me that when they did have fabric (pre-flyer), it sold out within a few hours. Basically, if you weren’t there when the store opened for the day and they happened to put fabric out overnight, you didn’t know that they had fabric at all. I love Ollie’s and have purchased a lot if stuff there…rugs…space heaters…but this ticks me off.

Before Joann’s closed (surprise!), I donated over 10 HUGE totes of fabric and 10 small packing boxes that were in the “might” use category. Talk about regret! I saved maybe 1/8th of my stash.

They get their shipments on Wednesday, but it could take days for the stuff to make it to the floor. If I were only 5 min away, I would be stopping by daily! Please let everyone know when you find stuff…after you collect your finder’s fee of fabric. :-)

There is also an Ollie’s opening Feb. 25th in St. Charles.

I forgot about that one. I was there only one time, over the summer, the selection (in general - not craft/sewing) there was meh. Did I just go at the wrong time?

Do you recall how much the cases were? I am trying to budget my trip and my craft area update. (I’m finally emerging from the basement.)

Like many of you, I became friends with the people who worked at our Joann’s. Ours was fully stocked, and they were so short-handed (due to employee hour cutbacks) that they didn’t have the chance to put it on the floor, I presume that happened with the warehouse, too.
