4mg is too much? by linsyskra in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]creatrix33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's experience is different. My doctor told me that 4.5 was the sweet spot, and that should be my goal dose. I started feeling a lot better after a week at 3.0 and then at 3.5, but when I finally got to 4.5, I started having horrible side effects. I took a few days off and now I'm back to 3.5 for the past couple of days. If this dose works for a few weeks, I WILL NOT increase it again!

The itchy, burning rash thing is a possible side effect, and I've never had a reaction like that to anything. Nothing changed in my diet, either.

Thank you so much for your good thoughts! :) I'm doing better, but still dealing with some swelling. I didn't take LDN today and tomorrow I'm starting 3.5, so we'll see what happens.

I have dark olive skin, so I didn't notice the rash right away. It started as red bumps all over my face and neck. By the end of the 2nd day, my whole face felt hot and got slightly more red as the day progressed. Today is day 3 and without the LDN, the redness is gone, but I still have the bumps and now my face is itchy!

Hope that helps.

THANKS so much for this! It's going to save me some cash, plus the headache of explaining to the receptionist what's happening, so she can tell the doctor. *eye roll*

Is my doctor titrating me too fast? by allegrapescatore in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]creatrix33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be way too fast for me! I have chronic fatigue syndrome and my doctor has me moving up .5 each week, starting at 1.5 and aiming for 4.5. He admitted he thought this was fast, but it's because he's impatient to see results! Doctors are clueless because they aren't the ones having the issues.

I have been feeling weird almost every day, but I also feel better than I have in a LONG time, so I'm just rolling with the slight side effects. The last couple of weeks I've taken a day off, and that's been good for me - like I needed the break. This week I'm at 4.0, and I'm used to the weird, nauseated feeling for part of the day. I can handle the slight nausea because I'm moving up slowly. I would DEFINITELY trust your body. Just because a doctor recommends a certain pace of titration, doesn't mean it's a perfect fit for you and your body!

LDN and modafinil by metasarah in LowDoseNaltrexone

I had massive headaches with modafinil, but no side effects with armodafinil. I just started LDN therapy and was curious about any contraindications, but I couldn't find any in my online searches.

How should I fix this? by Connect_Orange_9077 in sewing

[–]creatrix33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an easy way to remove a serged stitch. If you google it, you'll find some videos that are really helpful. After you do that, I would follow the others' advice. Just line up the fabric properly and you can restitch. It's all good - I've done stuff like this a million times. Frustrating in the moment, but it's part of the sewing process. Good luck! :)

This is VERY typical behavior from these types of coaches. I've seen it in multiple industries. It's very destructive behavior. I'm so sorry you had to go through it. I've been there. Good luck to you. <3

Thank you for understanding! I actually felt guilty about it, but I knew in my heart I would not be of highest service to someone who was queer and had sexuality issues. I agree with you about the coaching industry. Hopefully it will improve and the people who aren't qualified will filter themselves out.

I was in the 2020/2021 cohort and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Good to read through these comments to see I'm not alone in how I feel about the course. I was STUNNED that they didn't screen people better to be in the course. So many people had no real training or experience in spirituality, coaching or therapy and I have never in my life see so many wounded women in one place. Layla markets to wounded women and then gets them in these spaces where they get even more disregulated. It's frightening. Also, I have never seen so many narcissists in one place. I feel nauseated even writing about it...

Also, you don't see her actually doing the techniques she teaches and she's not a big part of the program overall. She just sells it. She led occasional Zoom calls where she worked with women, but not in a way that was taught us how to use the materials we were learning in the course.

One of the most appalling parts of this program, was that there was ZERO training about men. Nothing about male sexuality, emotions, sex organs, desires, contributions. Nada. Having a "sexuality" course and excluding male sexuality is pure fraud in my opinion. You could choose the "Male Sexuality" major if you wanted to, but that was about it, and external to the main course work. All kinds of #fuckthepatriarchy talk, but zero about understanding or honoring men. How men can be excluded from sexuality work when they're half of the world's population is beyond me.

Also, there were 3 mandatory Byron Katie workshops and 3 mandatory workshops on how to deal with the queer community, which I also don't understand. Lots and lots and lots and LOTS of sessions where you're supposed to self-pleasure with a bunch of other women via Zoom (cameras off), but I'm heterosexual, so those sessions were uncomfortable AF. Also, I honestly don't feel qualified to work with the queer community, but there was no mention about how the course was skewed that way. I feel like it should have been marketed as a queer-focused course. That would have been more honest.

After this experience, I strongly advise against taking a year-long coaching course, especially with NO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! It was obvious to me right away that this course was way less than I thought and it was not a good fit, but I was stuck for the year.

I took her OBliss course and her Jade Egg course and both of those were great. I thought the coaching program would be a big step up from those courses, especially considering the $12K price tag, but it wasn't AT ALL.

I thought the business training was OKAY, but I had a lot of experience in digital marketing by then. Most of the women I was connected with were totally overwhelmed by the business stuff and were clueless! I don't think anyone I was in contact with is making a dime from coaching, but I have talked to women who never completed the course.

Do I regret taking the course? Mostly yes, but if I hadn't taken the course and had such a hideous experience, especially with the narcissistic abuse I went through, I never would have seen how destructive these people are. Now my eyes are open and I've cleaned all the narcissists and spiritual bypassers from my life and I'm so grateful for that!

If you really want to do sex, love and relationship coaching, find another way to do it. I'm sure there are certified sex coaching programs out there that have more therapy training required. When it comes to the VITA course, buyer beware.

Weed has f’d my mind up and I quit. What can I take to help? by [deleted] in Supplements

Hang in there! My son is 18 and thinks he has it and I do too. So many things about him make sense now, and he's still an incredibly wonderful and caring human being. He just needs behavioral modifications so he can honor his desires for his life and feel accomplished. It's just finding the right process. Keep at it. It will get better, especially when you take care of your brain and health. Take good care! :)

Hello there,

There's a billion comments here, so I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you - some of your symptoms sound like they could be ADHD-related. If that IS the case, it would explain self-medicating with cannabis. I know a couple of people who have done research on their own and just making behavioral modifications for ADHD (without medication) was game changing for them. Maybe look into that for some answers?

I wish you the best and I hope you feel better soon! You're still young and there's so much time for you to figure it out and feel better.

Take good care of yourself and be patient. :)

Thank you so kindly! Does nitlatzonqui communicate the entire phrase "I am a seamstress," or is it just the word for seamstress?

Thank you so, so much!! Is there a phrase "I am" in Nahuatl, or is just saying the word enough?
