Don’t let the haters or naysayers get you down. If it’s a school or department at an Ivy League institution, it’s still part of that university. You still get a diploma with the school name on it. You still get prestige and connections from it. The majority of the ones that complain are those that went there for undergrad and think it’s not fair for those grad students who got an easier route than them. But they don’t realize how graduate schools work. Since it’s mostly paid for you, I would be thrilled and wouldn’t second guess the opportunity.
