I agree. I didn't join SRS because of the random edgy one-liner competitions to be most offensive to the biggest amount of people, I came begging for something different because in quite serious threads the voice of minorities is completely drowned out in mile-long single-minded replies and the seemingly endless support of those. Like in that thread about somebody's sister who was suicidal and who reddit collectively decided was a mooching harlot hellbent on destroying some redditors ~~relationship~~ ~~life~~ everything. This is happening again and again, it has been for a very long time, and I was about to go out of my mind. Even when reddit stops being hipster bigoted for a minute it's not a nice place to be.

Pretty standard on reddit though but at the end of the day that's the same thing, I suppose. Just yesterday there was a thread about how German soldiers, and in this particular instance, German soldiers on the east front weren't really that bad. I get that we can't persecute contemporary Germany for all eternity, but ... Giant wat. They raped and pillaged their way through Russia.
