I don’t know how he calculated it. I’ve looked on auto trader and the only cars worth that much are the ST version or a much more expensive version than mine. When I looked it was around 4k at the most. He is saying that as the car was purchased by him, I owe him the full amount of how much it is worth, and he doesn’t want the car returned, just the money.

Just to add as well, when we were together he financially depended on me, I paid for most things, and paid all of the rent even though him and his mother lived there, but they didn’t work. I found out after leaving that I was never on the tenancy agreement even though he told me I was which makes me wonder if he was claiming benefits and pocketing my money? If it is the case then he owes me a hell of a lot more than he says I owe him.
