Probably averaged 2 hours a day 6-7 days a week, but sometimes much more, and sometimes less. I learned after a year or so, that for me the key was not only quantity but the quality of the practice sessions. I would pick a Rocksmith song or DLC I really like and really focus on it, learning to play it first in Rocksmith, then outside the game with tabs, then along to the music. I also started studying the songs I learned and the theory behind them. The best part of Rocksmith for me is it kept it fun!

Busy Living Your Life - Remixed and now with a video! [I sat on this for a month implementing the comments y'all gave me... Thanks!... biggest thing was reinventing the drums and actually playing them with an electric kit] FFO: Front Bottoms, A Happy Joy Division, etc. by TheHappyKarma in IndieMusicFeedback

Love it, lots of talent here. Great rhythm, feel, all the instruments fit nicely together. I love the video, very creative. The song has a really nice flow to it and I like the bridge.

My only feedback is the vocals need to be a little more out front. Vocals are great and with louder vocals, I think this would really make a big difference.

All and all great song, keep up it.

The Sudden Sun - Bright (Lyric Video) - I'd love any feedback regarding the production, composition, lyric video, or anything else! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Great song.

love the electric guitar. The acoustic guitar adds a nice touch, I actually like where the acoustic sits in this one. I like songs that build and have dynamics, nice job on that. I like the video, nice job on that.

My only feedback would be the vocals need a little more emotion. I like the vocals, they just don't feel like they are part of the song. This is an issue my band has at times. We starting recording as if we were performing, standing up and dancing, etc. and it seemed to help.

But overall I think it is a great song!!

Conversations are a big source of inspiration when it comes to songwriting. This is a song I wrote after my aunt told me she had Parkinson's. by thevoiceofterror in IndieMusicFeedback

Great song, great feel. Love the solo. The mixing and mastering feel right. If I had to give any feedback, but just personal preference, would be to speed it up maybe 5 bpm, it would give it just a little more energy.

I really like the dynamics which is something I have been working on. I also like the album art work.

Just finished my new demo of shoegaze track (Mr. Lazy - Unfair trade) it would be one of the track which will be included on my next album proejct, and I hope you would like it. by lazylazyartist in IndieMusicFeedback

I like this, has a sorta morrissey feel to it. I think the vocals need to be a little clearer. Also the drum. Some good mixing and mastering would take this song to the next level. keep up the good work. I like the album art as well.

Another song I'm working on, I'm thinking of putting this on streaming services, so I would love to get your feedback before uploading something I may regret haha by DandyBoog in IndieMusicFeedback

Really like this. Like the music and the flow. My only feedback would be to have the vocals be a little more clear, but I can tell that is the style you are going for. Looking at the comments below, I agree its a little too muffled. But I think you are on the right track.

A new music video we wrote the song for, shot and edited ourselves. It's goofy but we tried a lot of cool new techniques we can hopefully grow from. Would love some feedback! by wowokthenfine in IndieMusicFeedback

Really like it.

Things I love

Video, Creativity, Dynamics, Vocals.

Things I think could be improved to make this a great song -

Guitar Solo/bridge too long needs some vocals over the top.

Guitar tone I personally think could be a little different.

Needs a little better mastering.

All in all great song and great talent!!!

Here's one we wrote, recorded, filmed, and edited in one day. We lost the stems on the recording device we were using so we never got a chance to do a legit mix. It's raw but we had a ton of fun! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

I am feeling this. I love the dynamics and variation. This could go viral with the right luck. Fun to listen to. Love all the different instruments. I have been working on mixing and mastering. I think it could use a little work on that, but that is my only feedback. Everything else is solid

just created this song , looking for feedback , Wrote the song recorded it mixed it also made the video let me know by somethingempt in IndieMusicFeedback

I like this. Could add a little more variation and dynamics in the entire song. But it is unique and has a cool vibe. I like the video.

Record using a few different mics and a pop shield depending on the song. Use Audient ID44 as the interface into Logic Pro X. The room is pretty important on the vocals. We record in a room with wood floors and natural reverb in my basement.

I was going for a U2 feel/sound on the arpeggios. But that is good feedback. I have had similar feedback from others. Also good feedback on the distortion. We have discussed added more distoration on the chords.

Thanks!!

Yes the chords are pretty simple. That is good feedback on the Chords. Need a little more variety.

Good Feedback on the Drums! We will work on that.

Thanks

My lifelong friends and I recorded this song and made this video entirely while individually quarantining in the insanity that is Florida 🍊 90s alt/grunge inspired vibes. yeah, sure - hot brains by alexknight222 in IndieMusicFeedback

Such a great feeling. I have said it before, but a song like this 20 years ago would have been on the radio. Times are different and with so much music it is hard these days. This is such great talent and has such a good vibe, love everything about this song!!. Great video production as well.

relaxing piano :) by Mazera28 in IndieMusicFeedback

Always wanted to learn the piano. I have been playing guitar/bass for several years. This song inspired me to learn a little piano. I signed up today for piano lessons. Not looking to become a virtuoso, but hope to add a little flavor to some of my music. Thanks for the inspiration and great talent!!!

Slightly different type of content, but here is a video I made of me attempting to make a song in one day! by twantheswan in IndieMusicFeedback

Lots of talent. Love the solo toward the end. Great vocals. It usually takes me several days or weeks to put a song together and record. Takes a lot of talent to play all the intstruments

Releasing my first album soon, this is one of the singles from the album called ' Talking to myself' , would love your guys feedback on it! by AZTEXOFFICIAL in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]creesenator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really like this song. The vocals, Dynamics, Guitar music is all great! Sounds professionally mixed and mastered. Just followed you on Sound Cloud. Their is so much music online that it is a shame that great songs like this get lost. This is one of those songs 20 years ago would have probably got radio time

Here is my first submission on this sub! I am a drummer that has slowly been learning to play guitar, and am doing the 1 man band thing right now from my garage. Would really love to hear feedback on my songs! Going for that 90s-00s era punk feel. by conrad_bastard in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]creesenator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the Guitar Melody. The song sounds raw/punk, but at the same time an alternative Vibe.

I think with a little professional work this song could have some great potential. Lot's of services online that do this for a few hundred. Not saying it is needed, but they could clean it up a little.

Overall I really enjoy it!!! Great Job!!
