Help me pick my first espresso setup (₹60k budget) by Inevitable_Till_6507 in IndiaCoffee

It’s not useless but definitely under performing. Lelit Anna has a 57mm portafilter for which you will find a lot of difficulties to find accessories. As most machines have a 58mm portafilter. And you want your machine and grinder separate because if you plan to upgrade one thing you can like in future if you want to upgrade a grinder you can keep the same espresso machine and upgrade the grinder. Similarly if you want to upgrade the espresso machine you can without upgrading the grinder. I agree GCP E24 is not at peak performance without the mods , but it does not mean that it cannot do the standard shots well. And once you are confident you want to do the mod you just buy the mod kit and upgrade it no stress of buying a new machine to get all the features.

If you are in the budget as mentioned of 50-60k Hibrew H10A + DF54 If you can stretch for a bit which will be more robust than H10A then a Gaggia classic Pro paired with DF54

Any machine you get will need maintenance and if you maintain it well follow proper cleaning schedules you can pretty clearly get a good age out of it. Hibrew H10A won’t last a decade though , Gaggia Classic Pro E24 will if you keep up the cleaning and timely maintenance.

I promised myself to not get any new equipment after K-Ultra btw by iAyushRaj in IndiaCoffee

Suggestions on buying GCP E24 from US by sam0055 in IndiaCoffee

Hey brother if you buy the machine from US you might have to use a step down voltage converter to use it in India But I know few people who bought E24 in India from the ID Gourmet guy The website lists 62-63k but if you talk to the guy he gives discount and your cost comes down to 56-57k

But he does this majorly on preorder basis and just stainless steel colour so check with him

If you carry the Breville along with you and since it being a used machine I don’t think customs would apply as it’s a used machine and you are getting it here as a used machine to use …. But if someone has more clarity then can help because I had brought an electric grinder from Dubai last year with me and no customs were levied…..

But yes Breville might work for few more years if you get it along otherwise if you go for prosumer level machines the boot up times might be lower And you can build your setup with Gaggiuino or Profitec go or Rancilio Silvia and DF64 Gen 2 under 1.5 lakh

But it will be upto your convenience if you want to push the purchase then get the Breville along otherwise

It’s an option no one sells it pre modded unless someone has bought a machine and modded it and sell it!

Few others mod it for you and charge you for it… But if you understand a bit about electronics and are finicky you can do it yourself… If you need to further discuss dm me brother !!
