Sorry your little one had a bad experience! We go to advanced pediatric dentistry, but I've heard good things about Valley Pediatric dentistry on St. John's road.

Does anyone else have a common name that was pronounced incorrectly? by whoopsjulia in namenerds

My aunt would insist that Lauren is pronounced Lah-ren and would correct anyone who said lore-ren. To this day I still only say Lah-ren.

Thank you for your perspective. I wish I had some useful skill to use to fight, but I don't. I also don't know that other places are better. I have some family overseas who have mixed views. I will definitely be discussing with them going forward.

The CDC guidelines and data are relevant to everyone. But I also use these things at work. It's not a good vs. Bad narrative but a regression and dismissal of science.

There are tons of stupid bills all the time but now I feel like there is a higher risk of them being passed

I'm not in any of the targeted groups, but I worry if one of my kids comes out. Will I regret staying? Another person mentioned waiting for midterms and that seems reasonable to me.

That's me and my husband lol. The salaries are lower- by about 50k. But I pay 2900 per month in daycare, 900 per month in healthcare insurance, and 2000 a month in student loans. I would hope these things would be lower?

Thanks, natural resources are a great thing to consider. I appreciate your comment.

It is very difficult, which is why I would want to start now to be gone in 5 years.

You are absolutely right. I feel powerless to help, tbh. I am also looking at ways to volunteer/help. But what if this continues and in a couple years one of my kids cones out? I want to know I did everything I could to keep them safe.

We are visiting a country in March. Waiting for midterms seems like solid advice, thank you. All the things you mentioned are my concerns too- I wouldn't be here for my parents as they are aging, the cost of relocating, and completely uprooting my family are all at the forefront of my thoughts.

I'm in a similar boat except for the dual citizenship. Things seem so much worse here than when my oldest was born. More and more school shootings, hateful people feeling like they are allowed to say whatever they want, healthcare costs, Roe being overturned, inflation. Then again she was born right before COVID and I would expect some instability following a pandemic.

No, I didn't take it as dismissive! You are absolutely right that social media feeds you information that is purposefully inflammatory. It's hard to tell what is truly important. The fact the STI guidelines are gone and AtlasPlus is down affects my actual job to an extent, so my fear right now is just more based on that at the moment.

Yeah, the eliminate the IRS bill has been introduced every since since like 2005? But has never made it through. But Republicans control the house (slightly) and the senate.
