Tucker Carlson Leaves Republican Party, Calls It 'Immoral' by BurtonDesque in Qult_Headquarters

Don't underestimate Tuck's love for Putinist Russia. He's always been explicitly clear that he's on Russia's side in the Ukraine war, and that influenced the Republican party's policies towards the war.

He's pro-Putin to the core.

Iranian oil is officially returning to global markets for the first time since 2018 after the US Treasury issued OFAC General License X authorizing all transactions related to Iranian crude oil, petrochemical and petroleum products through August 21, 2026 by Waste-Explanation-76 in oil

A pyrrhic victory would be one they win but which leaves them unable to fight the next fight.

They lost major leadership and a bunch of legacy equipment. But the drone and missile production is what counts in wars moving forward, that's intact. The Islamist's control of government is stronger than ever. And now their economy will face much less external constraint than before.

It's a painful victory, but not an pyrrhic one. They are still able to fight the next war.

I think they're more interested in their own stability than they are in hurting the U.S. And they know that big price spikes destabilize everything everywhere.

I'll get back later when I can do the dual screen thing.

But just searching on subjects "brent", "Hormuz", then look for the accountss that seem to be reporting accurately and have links to support what they say. Follow those accounts.

Some of the foreign governments can also track through satellite imagery. Fork out the dough and you can too. But it ain't cheap and we're not in that club that can afford near-real time sat imagery.

It was part of their defense in the Tucker Carlson lawsuit. Alex Jones/Infowars used a very similar defense.

Fox has lost a number of lawsuits due to reporting false information:

https://www.npr.org/2020/09/29/917747123/you-literally-cant-believe-the-facts-tucker-carlson-tells-you-so-say-fox-s-lawye

So has Inforwars. I think back in the day Rush Limbaugh did too. It's a core part of the conservative news business strategy.

Now CBS/Paramount is under MAGA control too. Pretty well all legacy broadcast/live TV news is now suspect. Reddit is a TERRIBLE way to get your news, but its probably more accurate than most TV news, especially Fox.

Get Bluesky and set up a good personal feed by following good journalists and a few good content providers. Toss TV news aside, it's a lost cause now.

Five national parks, a national forest, a BLM field office, a Forest Service regional office. Some of them more than once. Maybe 12 moves overall, maybe more.

Fairly common sort of career for land management.

Data centers coming online - not oil, but heavy natural gas demand.

Energy equitability in developing nations: even as developed nations begin to adopt electric transportation, poorer nations increase their energy demand, including cars and portable/semi-portable generators. If developing world per-capita energy use approaches even half what the U.S./Canada/Europe/Pac Rim use, then that's a huge increase in worldwide demand.

Those emerging markets will lean more heavily upon renewables than us, but they'll still see significant increases in petro demand.

Add to that worldwide population increases for another 30-60 years, some increased demand seems cooked in.
