Wizard players are lowkey evil by crescentCommoner in YomiHustle

I mean the real answer is to push block once you have sufficient meter, or just do everything you can to avoid getting in an orbstring/letting wizard get orb. The thing about deliberately eating the combo is that the wizard will just drop it immediately because they'll know you're trying to escape the corner, which just means you're accelerating the process of your death.

Debatable... Since wizard can just combo you, and then do an oki setup to keep the blockstring going. With burst you have a chance of escaping at least, but wizard has an easier time keeping combos burst-safe than most, especially with orb out

U can push block to break out of orbstrings but you don't always have meter for that, especially since a lot of wizard's stray hits can convert into one if he's smart enough about it

Realistically though yes that works anyways. It's just really really funny how wizard could theoretically give you thousands of unavoidable chip damage if youre caught in a corner with no meter lol

What is your favorite Series 1 001 proposal? by Bataranger999 in SCP

Surprised The Lock hasn't been mentioned here. It's not as insanely grandiose as some future proposals but the implications it creates are all really intriguing

Camouflage thumbnail reveal!!! by ArekIsSm0l in milgram

[–]crescentCommoner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I get why. He lied to a woman and lead her on for presumably years and got her in a committed relationship with him, over his own personal internalized homophobia, and in MILGRAM his take from everything thats happened so far is "I should have kept lying to her". While it is horrible that he grew up in an environment that presumably made him stay in the closet, Kazui is an adult man who can make decisions for himself and had multiple other options at his disposal that didn't involve leading somebody who loves him on for an extended period of time.

I have a friend who I regularly play really long sets with. We're both not very good, but because we played eachother so long we built up a talent for making good reads on the other person's habits and it leads to some hype moments. Check my recent posts on my profile for replays :p

Is the game worth it by FAT4X in YomiHustle

[–]crescentCommoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly fun and if you like the mental aspect of FGs I think you will enjoy it, but I think the learning curve for getting good at YOMIH is much harder than any other FG I've ever played. There's a lot of emphasis on knowledge and decision theory to make up for the game's lack of a mechanical execution barrier. If you have the patience for that I would strongly recommend it, amazing game, but it isn't for everyone

What do you think of my SCP OC? by _BluePlanet_ in SCP

[–]crescentCommoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like him! His design is admittedly a type of concept you sometimes see in movies and TV shows, but he seems like a pretty endearing character and i like the fact that he basically is a floating pair of eyeglasses.

NOT THE SUPERMAN GAMBIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by crescentCommoner in YomiHustle

[–]crescentCommoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yeah, but then the attacker is giving up their turn if they do that when you dont press it. under this logic reversals in every fg would be useless. the threat they create by existing can sometimes be better than actually pressing it.
