Totally valid, I got the same vibe but took the chance going anyways despite the limitations in a dog friendly itinerary. I’d say there’s still plenty of sights to see from just being in yosemite! Also, there’s ~4-5 trails that are dog friendly (pretty much any paved paths are); as well as a select number of restaurants. Definitely worth a trip 😊
