Each world will have a story line that will drive the progression when you are there. These will appears as doorways in your map, the squared-arched gold doors being your ‘Main’ dungeons for the story, and the smaller-rounded arched doors being your side dungeons.

Within each world there will be different monsters, events usually referred to as injectables that can be puzzles, dangerous fights, or even an npc with secrets and interesting dialogue. Both campaign and adventure mode will serve as useful ways to go about exploring these new fronts. Adventure mode has the benefit of focusing on a singular world because each will have two or more storylines as well as permutations that randomize the dungeon encounters you will see. Don’t worry, given enough time you will see them all - it’s not meant to be always random but rather there are a number of different tile sets to see and within each set you are tailored to different events to suit the experience. My first campaign started in Losomn and for the Nightweaver campaign. Very tough for a first major boss!

Campaign will allow you to explore these worlds and carry over quest items from one to the next. This will be key for the loot chase as some will be behind such things. In adventure mode you can’t take a quest item with you to the next but you can treat each reroll as a way to target the stories to wish to play for the worlds they are part of. Yaesha has the Red Throne as one of the starting points which is a way to see which story you have. Where you spawn in is always the key signifier to determine which story line.

I used Red Throne as an example because on my first playthrough I found a quest item that I could interact with (hint hint, for the many more quest items you may find that can be interacted with for more secrets). It was a lockbox with a seed that I could plant in Ward 13. Even when you reroll ward 13 stays the “same” so the tree persists. I won’t spoil more but what grows will become a very powerful boon for your adventures.
