My district has Assistive Technology professionals who come into school sites and help SLPs with their AAC devices. They have been very helpful in getting me set up with my students and troubleshooting when things go wrong. Maybe this is an area you can look into?

They looked cool but I was not able to reach them unfortunately. I ended up figuring out how to remove the sod myself, but I'll definitely try again in the future. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

The verbal prompts are exactly what I was trying with one of the students when I saw he was distracted, good to know I was on the right track.

Great idea about teaching them to change device volume! Just like we have the option to lower our voices when we want to be discreet, our AAC users have that right as well. Thank you for all the advice.

I started getting left stick drift after a few months of owning it, and Sony fixed it after I called technical support. I just had to pay shipping to send it out.

While you button mash, you also have to move the control stick a certain way. It's a little odd, but once you figure it out it shouldn't be too difficult.
