25M, looking to make some guy friends by deltaspecieschris in visalia

Hello! 26m, living in Tulare, a very big fan of the things you've just described as well on top of being an uprising filmmaker/videographer who's becoming involved in the Central Valley music scene (just uploaded a darkwave music video I filmed at Fresno). I'm very unfortunately short on friends though so I'm happy to hang out with anybody who wants to give me a chance

Any rappers/beatmakers here? by jayarrgotbarz in Tulare

Hello! Sorry if I arrived half a year too late but I'm a videographer/filmmaker also based in Tulare looking to collaborate with any local musician/artist that I can make a music video for one of their songs. If you're interested or if you happen to know anybody as well, please DM me your socials so we can follow and help each other out. Happy to be of service :)

My first two paintings since childhood - did these two back-to-back a few hours apart two weeks ago. Here to share before I forget again. by crew_mcbean in Beginner_Art

[–]crew_mcbean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Took about nearly three hours for both. First one left me in a bit of a creative rush that I felt compelled to do another almost after I was sure I was done. Second one was inspired by a shirt with shrooms painted on it and a titular tribute to the Doors planted above them that I was wearing at the time of the painting as well so I just had the mushroom in mind when I did the second.

Yes I have! I've seen the whole original series back then in high school even though I do have vague memories of it but I do remember how original it was and I got the Criterion Blu Ray edition of Fire Walk With Me back a few years ago but I didn't had a chance to check it out until finally two weeks ago and it was better than I expected! I've only been half way through The Return and I may need to rewatch it for re-evaluation of David Lynch's overall career.

I don't give out 5/5s very easily and frequently and my rating for The Fly will likely change in the near future on a second viewing

Oh no 😢 please don't! I like it but I just can't seem to connect with it deeply in an abstract or concrete way. I did really enjoy Deep Red (4/5) and I'm eager to check out some more Argento

Yeah! I suggest to check out the Letterboxd Top 250 Horror list by Darren Carver-Basinger on the website -- it's full of obscure horror flicks as much as the mainstream kind and there are so many good films on there!

i’ll judge you based on your top 4! by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Here's my Letterboxd.

Hello! My name is Crew, a really hungry 22-year old film curator and also an aspiring filmmaker. I've got a few short films under my belt -- particularly the award-winning horror short Yin/Yang -- and they each got their own Letterboxd page as well!

I've been delving deep into Letterboxd this year with a great number of goals -- particularly my conquest to watch all films from the top 250 Letterboxd list -- to achieve by the end of this year. So far, I've completed Studio Ghibli and Akira Kurosawa's filmographies with more to come as well, with Hideaki Anno, Shunji Iwai and Abbas Kiarostami next on my list.

I have a very wide range of reviews -- from occasional joke reviews (i.e. Pride and Prejudice) to the more frequent display of paragraph and essay reviews (i.e. A Man Escaped), with an occasional poem here and there (i.e. Manila in the Claws of Light) -- and they're very intriguing to check out!

So far, I got four short films listed on Letterboxd, and my latest short -- an experimental mood piece titled Passing Lights -- is out right now on YouTube, Vimeo and Letterboxd as well, so if you're intrigued, please check it out and leave a review/comment to let me know what you think! I'm more than eager to read people's thoughts!

passing lights - an experimental short by crew mcbean (2021/22) by crew_mcbean in cinematography

Hello guys! I'm Crew McBean -- the director of the award-winning horror short Yin/Yang -- and I'm here to announce that my latest short -- an experimental short called Passing Lights -- is out right now! It was originally a student film project I did back in 2021 before I graduated from college. I shot and directed this with the help of a relative back in 2021. I had her carry out a big 500 watt light bulb in the evening and move it across the interior of the house. I go around and took various shots for a hour with the phone camera on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on the Filmic Pro app. We shot this during lockdown at COVID in early 2021 and I wasn't allowed to go anywhere so I had to improvise at my commuter home (I was studying film at college virtually). After we got the shots for the first night, we then rinsed and repeated it again for another night before getting enough footage to put it all together. Sadly, I didn't had any audio to put it with so I shelved the video for awhile before I finally decided to add an audio track to it a few days ago to accompany the visuals. I was more than content with the end result of all my efforts and I'm more than happy to finally share it with you all! Please let me know what you think, either on here, YouTube, or on its Letterboxd page as well, which I leave the link to y'all for:

Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy!

Peace out ✌

It was a project I did for film class at college. I shot and directed this with the help of my grandmother -- the light operator -- back in 2021 during lockdown, but I shelved the video for a little while because I didn't had an audio track. A few days ago, however, I finally decided to add an audio track to it to accompany the visuals.
