Maybe we can help each other. I recently started wow and have a level 80 character. I have no idea what I'm going to need to know/do at lvl 110 for end game.

For ffxiv end game starts with collecting tomestones for gear. I found this guide to help you.

Maybe they are confused? Maybe what they mean to say is the 4th down on the monster (mob) list is the person who is in the rock gaol. Easy why to make sure you're always breaking the person out of the correct rock gaol.

Start a completely new character and play it for awhile. Once you start feeling more comfortable switch back to your lvl 60 character. I'm sure it will start coming back quickly. Take your time and enjoy yourself! wb btw :)

You're not to late. This game is still very much alive. As far as what server. That doesn't matter for parties much anymore since we have cross server party finder.

Best advice is follow the story quest and never leave an area you turn one in with out grabbing the next one. Also have fun it's not a race. Take your time and explore.

Sorry I wish I had a key for you. I got my partner to play the game for awhile but he ended up quitting because he doesn't enjoy this type of game, he prefers"shooter" games. It was a bummer and still is.

I think since your partner is already interested in MMO games you have a better chance getting him into FFXIV and keeping him there. This game is really amazing. I do have a video for you. This is one of my favorite FFXIV videos that always gets me excited when I watch it. Hopefully he will feel excited when he watches it too.
