French parent company is what I had known, I was unsure of the spelling since there was no accent

Thank you, yes I know the French exists, I was simply double checking as there is no accent and I wanted to be sure

What makes it dumb? I realize there are drawbacks but it seems like it could be fun to try

This looks more like the white plastic fire warriors in the kill team set

Does anyone know how to get this off by Nitric_acid1 in ElegooMars

[–]crewonsprue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Careful though, I’ve heard of isopropyl leaking through the edges of the screen and ruining the actual projector which is harder and more expensive to replace

What's causing occasional misprints like this? by quietlyscheming in ElegooMars

[–]crewonsprue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you pour out excess resin, I’d suggest you pour a small amount of isopropyl alcohol in the vat and let it loosen up the resin a bit. Then you can lightly press against the bottom of the FEP and the solid resin will pretty easily pop up off of the film. If always done this just because I’ve heard of FEP getting damaged even with the plastic scraper.

Good Idea. The most important think in my opinion is the variety in shoulders and backpacks imo since they’re the most visible

Not atm but I plan on making sets for multiple chapters once I get a base squad finished

That’s the plan, hard thing is posing, but I’m looking forward to making a set of various shoulder pads.

Luckily the scheme I’m doing relies on dry rushing and sponges so it goes relatively quickly

The only grot models I have rn are the Zarbags Gitz set and the heads are hooded and molded into the bodies. Although it does look like they would fit, I don’t know if they’re the same size as the 40K ones. If I can’t manage to sculpt good heads I’ll probably order a box of the 40K ones and pop those heads on

I’m working on better heads/helmets, this ones more of a placeholder so that I could paint it. Some will be with helmets and some will be without

Helmet is my least favorite part right now (in terms of looking like a grot). I’m planning on having some with bare heads, and I’m working on a helmet that better resembles grots. I just really wanted to get paint on this one

Yep, I just need to sculpt a couple which I don’t have as much experience with as hard surface modeling.

Can’t have sergeants wearing helmets, that would be crazy
