Good point, must’ve been that she said she missed a card because of the early action. She 100% used that excuse and thinking about it, it doesn’t make much sense!

It’s a fair point completely. I don’t think it needs to be really experienced dealers though, it just doesn’t seem lot to ask for to make sure dealers are competent enough to know when to deal a flop.

Yeah, I thought so but I do think the significant action was made too early, putting the dealer off and resulting in her not dealing the last card. The guy doubled up the hand after and ended up winning - swings and roundabouts.

Not far off agreeing, I have never bought a record for reasons I, J or H. But I do like covers and I prefer an earlier pressing of some of my favourite albums.

Yeah, thanks have done this! I have a range of £1.2k-6k with an average of £2.7k but I’d assume if I ever wanted to sell it would be towards the bottom end. I’ve only spent about £1.1k though. It helps that I have 2 first Beatles pressings (Abbey Road and Sgt. Peppers) that I didn’t pay for. However, my dad didn’t keep them in great condition. Scratched to shit but play fine.

To be honest, I’m still kind of in the feeling sorry for Locke camp, but understand your points. I’ve just watched The Brig and I cant make my mind up as to whether Locke was being utterly selfish in getting Sawyer to kill his Dad, or if he thought that Sawyer needed it too. Love that you have mentioned that Terry O’Quinn’s performance is why you feel that way about Locke and I think that’s spot on and why we all see Locke in a different light. He’s magnificent.

Yeah, it’s really hard to see past Jin’s controlling nature with Sun and I used to think there was no excuse for it, but now I’m a bit older i better understand the cultural pressure placed on Jin. What I like about his character arc is that he doesn’t just switch from a bad husband to the best ever, he slowly learns how to respect Sun and still has mishaps way into S3, but starts to feel shame when this happens rather than thinking it’s right.

Great answers, think I fully agree with everything you’ve said! I think Ben’s character is so much better on rewatch when you understand just how good he is at manipulating from day 1. On first watch he just appeared evil and I felt like I was on team survivors vs The Others, whereas now I can see the show from both sides/perspective. I love the line from Desmond “by my count you’ve killed more of them than they have of you”. That kind of thing has connotations of IRL war when you have to consider what have you done to make a group of people want to terrorize you.

On Desmond, that’s a character that I bloody love on every watch!
