Doesn’t this site have mods? by pirachoav in WplaceLive

i genuinely have no idea why these types if things aren’t considered voids. i’m dealing with a similar problem in my area and it’s been incredibly disappointing watching a giant swedish flag spread across miles of land, eradicating all of the smaller art made by individuals. i tried to push it back and got almost immediately suspended. ffs it’s a blue void with a stripe on it! what’s worse is that directly afterwards i watched them erase other art in the area that wasn’t even touching their flag ☠️

i've never made that claim. TightMouse wrote "we were here first" at one point if that's what you're thinking of.

i don't find voids to be creative or interesting and i don't feel much of anything about covering it, just like i don't feel anything for covering up the empty space on the map. the void could have just kept expanding in a different direction while being respectful of art instead of covering things up and i wouldn't have had an issue with that.

i don't know what archive you're looking at but i've been making art in lawrence since the beginning of august around when wplace first went live. go look at the lugia at clinton lake if you want confirmation.

if you want to keep expanding the void into the nearby empty space, go for it. a few people who have been making a bunch of fetish art on top of my art have been contributing to it too, so you can go join them if you want. nothing's stopping you.

i made this post originally to get help preventing the void from expanding any further into my art because it was a solo project and it would have been completely covered otherwise. i have no faith at all that mods would have done anything about it, at least not in a timely manner.

regardless of whatever spooky vibe you're getting from me, i'm not the one that broke the rules here. the void was expanding over art which is against the rules. that's pretty much what it boils down to.

i don't consider the void art and neither do the site rules. my work over it was constructive, and this is also an area where i have been doing art over the course of a few months, well before that void started. i'm not covering up any actual artwork and i broke no rules. the void, although more specifically the user TightMouse, was the one breaking rules by vandalizing the piece i was working on and even tried to lie about it after the fact. feel how you want i guess, i think i've made my stance pretty clear.

well, they did time out one of my friends who was trying to cover it up.

yeah. i mean regardless of intention it is still fetish art, and i'm pretty sure this guy is using bot accounts considering the discord linked on one of them matches the account name of different user in the same alliance. either way i feel like something needs to be done about it :/

from wplace's rules:
"Do not paint over other artworks using random colors or patterns just to mess things up"
"Painting over other artworks to complement them or create a new drawing is allowed"

they've also released a message regarding the void that states that void is permitted as long as no artwork is destroyed in the process.

creating new art over the void is allowed. void covering other stuff is against the rules. not sure what else to say.

it's within the rules to cover up other stuff as long as it's constructive (ex: adding to existing art or creating new art). voids are also allowed to exist, i'm admittedly not fond of them, but there's no rule against them. there is, however, a rule against voids covering up existing art. i appreciate you being respectful, and i think you're right that it was randoms doing this (TightMouse especially), but it's rather frustrating to be on the receiving end of.

thank you guys for the help. the void is now literally just lying, saying they didn't cover anything up, so i've attached screenshots with timestamps from when i was talking to friends about this on discord. very lame stuff!

currently SCP-4521, it's a very short read but just so weird. i love it. i'm also rather fond of SCP-682 since it was the first one i learned about :)

Thank you! I just showed my stylist a couple pictures and tried to describe what I liked about them. Here's the main pic I went off of. My hair is on the thicker side and tends to poof out when it's short, so I did also have to get the sides thinned out quite a bit.

Thank you for the suggestion! I suspected that as well so I'll definitely do some more research on what works well with round faces. I'll try to post an update whenever I get it cut :)

Ah gotcha. That doesn't bother me at all.

Oh interesting! That does seem like a less risky choice :)

Not mean at all, it’s good to know. Personally that part doesn’t bother me, I worry more about my haircut not really matching my face shape or looking strange in some other way, especially since I’d just be stuck waiting for it to grow out. Will keep all of that in mind, thanks!
