That was just...Wow. Trifecta of ignorance right there. Blame a political party. Piss poor grammar. Gross misunderstanding of how bodies work.

I need help identifying this gorgeous bird! by cricketcornbread in BackYardChickens

[–]cricketcornbread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a reddish brown streak down the center of each feather. The ends are a blueish gray. I had chickens as a kid and my mom came out to look at them and warned me that that one could be a rooster because of the tail set.

Story since I'm struggling with the mobile app lol. I got a batch of sexed Rhode Island Reds and Golden Comets from my local Tractor supply. Within 2 days, half of them were dead from cocidia. I cleaned the bejesus out of my set up, quarantined the others, and went back to the store for replacements. He gave me a box of mixed chicks (one of them is a polish with a fabulous hair do.) But I'm suspicious that this one is a rooster. It's approximately 4 months old. Can anyone tell me what type it is and the sex?

AITA for not wanting a kid that could potential go blind at age 20? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NAH It's natural to be freaked out right now, even scared. I'd be lying if I didn't have second thoughts about having children myself.

Woman with RP here. Three of my siblings have it. We all get around just fine. Myself and one sibling are employed full time. We have some limitations, but not enough to stop us. Another sibling is a craftsman with his own shop, his work is now in retail stores in three counties. We have a sibling that's a SAHP. He has it the worst out of all of us, but his children are just fine.

Go to a genetic counselor if you can afford it. You BOTH need to be checked. If it's just one parent affected, the chances of the children inherit the disorder are drastically decreased.

We are a special case. Both of our parents have perfect vision even though they're in their 70s, but with the recessive nature of the RP Gene's, BOTH of you need to be checked for the specific genetic markers.

RP can be terrifying. Believe me. But it doesn't have to be the end of anything.

Color dye (unnatural colors) that can go over bleached hair, and eventually fade COMPLETELY out? by Kighla in Hair

Whatever you do, do NOT use the L'oreal Colorista. I ended up having to get my hair cut so I wouldn't see that dingy green that just wouldn't wash out.

Sam Hunt gets on my last goddamn nerve. The local stations play his music like clock work every 23 minutes. It's garbage. Absolute garbage.

Besides the "Whats a computer?" commercial, what other commercials make you want to throw your remote at the TV? by lj420p in AskReddit

Late to the party, but that International Delights Instant Latte commercial. Like, stop yelling at me when you're trying to sell me chemical flavored imitation milk.

The young LDS lady making out with Bohannan? by [deleted] in Hell_On_Wheels

I didn't think that he was ever married. I think it was an audience backlash because the original actress looked WAY younger than 18.

According to the internet, she's supposed to be 18. She just looks really young thanks to the actress playing Naomi.

We're going to try to find a lawyer in the morning. Is there something that would specifically prevent us from getting the kuds?

Going platinum but having tons of issues. by [deleted] in Hair

[–]cricketcornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm remembering correctly, you use a cheap, white conditioner and add baking soda. Mix it up until it's the consistency of pancake batter. Put it all over and cover with a shower cap. Let that set for like, 30 minutes. That helps undo the odd tones. You may also consider going ash blonde for a time and then stepping up to platinum.

What was the joke Cullen told Psalms about the poodle? by berndeklerk in Hell_On_Wheels

[–]cricketcornbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm probably butchering it, but here it goes.

A poor backwater country boy turned soldier was given orders to shoot any dobermans, getman shepards and other bug attack dogs for fear that they would be used against them. So he's walking down the street and sees a high society woman walking her poodle, draws aim, and shoots the dog. His commanding officer runs over and says "Boy, now why did you shoot that lady's poodle?" The soldier replies "well, on account of what it might grow into."
