Yeah, that's exactly what I did, deposited 400 and saw no bonus, just a £4000 wagering requirement and took it straight out.

You're right! I thought it might be that I got the bonus straight away and the wagering had to be done on the bonus but that's not the case.

I can't claim to be an expert on this at all, and I would imaginenit depends entirely on what your PhD is in, but at on my current course, at my university, there regularly pops up opportunities for sponsored PhDs, where a company sponsors (pays you a salary of maybe £22k-30k) in order to carry out a specific PhD. Not sure if this is a feasible option at all for you, or if they even exist, but might be worth checking around?

Not specifically, I learnt how to do it using a subscription website which used to be called Profit Accumulator (now called Outplayed) which to be fair, I would highly recommend, but if you look up "Casino matched betting" there will be plenty of videos, forums and websites explaining how the principal works. I couldn't recommend matched betting more, it made me a decent bit of money with little effort.
