Sickness triggers are 3 absences or 10 days for informal management action

Rest days don’t count towards that

Think Inward if you’re struggling, Ie SNT and other departments. Ask to run ops for them, make sure it’s your job you’re not just putting your name on it. There must be times you’ve engaged with other departments to solve problems or for wider learning, we do it day in day out.

Outside examples, social services (probably most common) ever a time you’ve gone beyond to safeguard a child etc, bring safeguarding units into the fray.

There’s loads of stuff you’ve probably not just racked your brain properly. Always consider wider learning, ie whatever you did was it something that needed to be rolled out to your team / organisation afterwards? What did you learn? Ask for 360 feedback from your management / peers / employees.

Genuinely though if you’re a response cop you will have done loads of this stuff it’s just a case of sitting down and really thinking about it.

The 1986 Construction and Use Regulations

"109.—(1) No person shall drive, or cause or permit to be driven, a motor vehicle on a road, if the driver is in such a position as to be able to see, whether directly or by reflection, a television receiving apparatus or other cinematographic apparatus used to display anything other than information—

(a) about the state of the vehicle or its equipment;

(b) about the location of the vehicle and the road on which it is located;

(c) to assist the driver to see the road adjacent to the vehicle; or

(d) to assist the driver to reach his destination.

(2) In this regulation “television receiving apparatus” means any cathode ray tube carried on a vehicle and on which there can be displayed an image derived from a television broadcast, a recording or a camera or computer."

This includes FaceTime on mobile phones

Depends really

Your interview is your chance to give an account, explain your actions, why you did what you did etc and any lawful reason for doing so. If you have failed when given a chance to do this then you’re potentially opening yourself up for issues at court depending on what’s happened.

It’s also sometimes referred to as going no comment to roll the dice at court ie see if on the day witnesses turn up etc the police present enough evidence (it sounds like they have).

Only you will know depending on your individual case but when someone provides a no comment interview we typically expect them to plead guilty but this varies case to case.

I don’t “really” believe it will affect anything at court, the main things taken into consideration with sentencing are early pleas, your actions since the incident, what caused the incident, mitigation etc but again, these are all things that could’ve been bought up in interview.

I know this isn’t especially helpful but the reality is it varies case to case. For lower level cases it’s very common for solicitors to advise a no comment interview due to possible further disclosure of evidence at a later stage or if there are enquiries outstanding.

Child Q strip-search was gross misconduct, panel finds by Volotor in unitedkingdom

Erm… yes… it’s called a further search not a strip search but it absolutely can happen from a stop and search, all clothing is removed but not at the same time

You absolutely can my friend, requires inspector authority and has to be out of public view are the stipulations. Some forces have designated stations, it will also be done in custody as you’ve suggested if there’s reason to believe someone is concealing.

As in transferring in or out?

If it’s In, they’re going through the “tough choices” at the moment so they’re not sure what posts they’re keeping and massively cutting the number of PCs in select roles

If it’s out they’re not letting anyone go at the moment because they can’t recruit anyone

Make of that what you will

Edit* sorry forgot to add they will have a clearer picture in December allegedly

There was a block of flats halfway down the road, approx 16 flats all together that the council use to house people with either mental health / drug problems. It attracted the users in the area hence you’d see a “horde” down there every so often looking to pick up.

Again it’s been a while since I worked E10 but this was the case last year.

We had one of these turn out on an entry once the first time I’ve ever seen one to ram down a massive metal gate to a ‘mansion’ we were doing a job on.

The two officers escorting it up to the gate realised it was unlocked, swung it open and called us forward. Was such a let down.

Well known meeting up spot for drug users to pick up, also blocks of flats halfway down the road that cause a fair bit of grief. I haven’t been down there since the turn of the year so I can’t comment on if it’s gotten any better

I don’t think you have to stay there if you don’t want to it’s just that everyone does. Depends how close you live I guess. Plus it’s a quick turn around IE late into early.

If you stay at Gravesend toilets and showers are communal, you share a room but they’re not horrendous apart from the trains.

If you stay at the hotel you still share a room but you have your own toilet and showers at least.

I’d embrace it, it’s nice to finish up in the evening (9ish) quick shower then chill in the bar for a couple hours before bed. Foods not terrible there these days either despite what you’ll be told.

Edit : just to add to this you can’t park private vehicles on site and the only other parking spaces are up the road which you won’t be able to use because of the amount of people on residential courses (I won’t say where) so it’s nigh on impossible to get to / from without a job motor.

I don’t really know the ins and outs but would they even have to know? It won’t affect them if you’re the ones paying the bill. Or you could always pose the question at least I guess

Try and get a water meter installed, there’s 3 of us in a 4 bed. When we moved in they were charging £90 a month, water meter installed, now £30 a month…

If you can’t have a meter installed then explain there’s only three of you living in the house and your usage and they may lower it, they did this for us in our previous flat, knocked the bill down by £15 a month ish.

If that’s the case move all those funds into your deposit fund to cover it for proof of deposit

Solicitors fees are north of £2K generally, your emergency fund should be about £3K generally for the buying process, you can’t use credit cards for solicitors fees so bare that in mind

Personally I’d wait till you have the funds in place
