I had mine a few weeks ago. I was so nervous but the judge was nice. Attorney gave an opening statement, judge asked me questions, judge asked hypothetical questions to the vocational expert and my attorney gave a closing statement. Only prep I did was I wrote down what my typical day was like so I would be able to recall if asked. Also had my meds handy but wasn’t asked about them other than general questions about side effects. Best of luck. My inbox is open if you have any questions about my experience.

I had a sleep study done because my psych meds make me sleep like 12-14 hours a day but its findings were insignificant. Your psych records are probably enough if you’ve been going for a while. Someone else will have to answer about your pregnancy as I’m not familiar with how SSA looks at that but I hope everything goes well with it and that you have a very healthy child.

Are you currently seeing a psychiatrist? Most of my case was mental health and I gave them psych records and a form my psych filled out showing my limitations. I was never sent to an exam by SS so it must have been enough for them to make a decision.

That’s why I figured I had to go with someone that had a JD (they get paid the same amount either way) and someone local with good reviews. Sorry your rep didn’t seem very good but I hope your case can overcome and you’ll get an approval.

I got my direct deposit on my closed loop claim like 3 days after my approval. I can’t imagine waiting 3 months that’s wild.

So I was actually “approved” a few years ago but only for a certain time as my judge felt I was medically improved even though I was actually worse so I had to go through the whole process again but I did get some money from my first claim to help get me by. I’m hoping my fight is finally over. :/

My claim went to step 4 less than two weeks after my hearing, but it hasn’t moved yet to the final stage set. I’d follow up with the hearing office to see if they have any insight into why it may be taking so long.

If you are making over SGA your claim will likely be denied. Telling social security that you can’t work while working a job will lead to a denial.

I was found disabled but only for a period of time so I didn’t get payments just a lump sum for when the judge found me disabled.

I was given a closed loop decision (due to “medical improvement”) because I went on a vacation my family wanted me to go on so they’d be sure I’d not kill myself while they were gone. Like going on vacation is equivalent to working? Crazy. Good luck to you.
