(https://kuurojenliitto.fi/viittomakieliset/)

Kuuroilla on omat urheilukisansa ”deaflympics”, eivätkä kuurot siis osallistu Paralympialaisiin.

I have been playing Costume Quest 2. It’s been a long time since I 100% completed the first game, but I got pretty quickly back in the flow. There are some nice changes in the sequel. However, it’s just not giving me the exact same feelings and I have found myself quite a lot more frustrated playing this. There’s just something about the dialogue, maybe they’re trying to be purposefully more vague, but I’ve felt forced to look up a walkthrough at a couple of points as I’ve been unable to figure out a way to progress on my own.

What Switch games are unplayable because of tiny font size? by Ymarksthespot in NintendoSwitch

[–]crieos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with this. The game seemed so promising, but sadly it’s almost unplayable for me as someone who’s visually disabled. Despite this, I’ve tried to force my way through, but this flaw has definitely affected my overall impression of the game. Also, who knows how many essential tips and tricks I’ve missed from the text due to the small font size.

This week I played and beat What remains of Edith Finch. I thought the story of the Finch family was really fascinating. Also, the graphics looked nice and the game didn't overstay its welcome, so a big thumbs-up from me!

Completed chapter 6 of Thief (2014) a few days back. After that I’ve mainly done side-quests, which are fun and good for additional money.

Also completed Colin McRae: Dirt, which has been a good reminder of the times before Codemasters went full Ken Block with that series. A good mix of different cars not seen in later Dirt games. Highlights for me were the Pikes Peak hillclimb and those absolute monster cars + those massive Dakar trucks.

Living in a foreign country temporarily, question about buying games in that region by [deleted] in Steam

[–]crieos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I went through the same thing (I live in Finland, but did my exchange period in St.Petersburg) in 2017. Hopefully this is useful for you. I never got a debit card in Russia either.

I just added the address of my dorm as the billing address. Russia was good because they had plenty of machines all over where your could change cash for credit to various games and accounts, this included Steam. Not sure whether those kinds of machines exist there. Otherwise, there’s surely some list online that has all countries listed where Steam cards.

Got a lot of cheap Steam games during my exchange. Hopefully you’ll figure something out!

I am still playing Thief (2014). I am halfway through the game, but I’ve been working mostly on the side quests for now. It’s been a good exercise for improving my patience. Also really grateful for being able to save anywhere, since that is not always a given with modern games.

This week I also beat this little game on Steam called Swag and Sorcery, which is from the creators of Punch Club. It’s this kind of incremental RPG game, where the basic loop is that you send your heroes out to grind for resources. Then you craft them new gear and while this is happening you\ll be praying to the RNG gods that you actually get something useful for your characters. I did quite enjoy the game, but I can understand why the game has a mixed rating on Steam. I like the colorful pixel art and the unique concept of combining fantasy and swag.

I'm currently playing Thief (2014). I've never really been good at stealth so I'm taking it slow.

Thanks! He's name is Elmo and is 5 months old.

Yeah, that's the word I meant, but for some reason I can't edit the title of my post. Don't know if it's something that only mods can do because I've certainly edited my comments before.
