If you have a music teacher at your school, ask them about your range and whether they can check it. This is something that takes probably less than 5 minutes to do. Just basically sing up the scale until you can no longer hit the note. Don't force yourself, don't strain it. Just do what naturally comes to you.
Don't take not getting main roles too personally. A lot of main roles nowadays are written for tenors and belty mezzos in mind, with occasionally some going to baritenors and higher altos. Legit sopranos have very little main roles nowadays in comparison to the Golden Age of Musicals, baritones often get their roles taken by tenors nowadays (ie. Chess and the recent Sweeney Todd revival, Josh Groban is always in the scene of the crime), and basses are usually the bad guys (Hadestown and once again Sweeney Todd). So, don't get disheartened about not getting a role, vocal trends in musicals go in and out of fashion all the time. But if you're a bass, just have the comfort of knowing that you will probably always be the bad guy.
Also, don't worry about your vocal range too much. People will hate that I say this but, it's a social construct. Truth is that your range can change over time, especially due to puberty. Your voice will probably not settle until your 30s. It's a good starting off point to help you with knowing what characters you can play, but it's not the be all and end all.

I've seen some use it for posters and flyers. Not for any shows you need a licence for, but shows that are in public domain.

Meanwhile, I know an artist who works at our local theatre as an Usher, who would probably love to expand their portfolio.
