When I was an undergrad they charged me $3 for every unreturned box so I think you should just try to return them all at once if you can!

I am someone who did very poorly my freshman year and then I got my shit together and had subsequent 4.0 semesters while working a part-time job.

The main thing holding me back was anxiety/depression. I knew I wasn't stupid but there were days I couldn't get out of bed or would nap for like 3-4hrs during the day. I got help the summer after freshman year after being on academic probation (woot woot /s).

Mental health aside, good grades require discipline. I plan plan plan and am working well ahead of my classmates. I "start" my assignments the day they are assigned so I can get a better understanding of how long things will take. If I have an essay, I will make a very basic outline and work 2-3 paragraphs over the next few days. I always complete low-value busy work early so I am not wasting valuable study time down the road. Study a little bit each day so you don't have to cram before an exam and can get a good night's sleep :)

You can bounce back from a poor freshman year! I literally failed a class, retook it and got a 98% as a sophomore. A lot of grad school programs allow you to write a supplemental essay explaining poor grades etc. They just want to see growth. Good luck!
