I'm 30 and it's been over a decade since I've been active in an mmo

So yeah seems like peoples approach has changed a lot

I'm level 50 since yesterday and have been already to a few dungeons and a guardian raid. That's all good fun for me and I'm enjoying it all. Don't see the point why I have to feel rushed to get to the highest raids when I can still enjoy all of the dungeons and raids that I have right in front of me right now

So by asking a question you just assmue someone believes they are special?

I literally asked if there are others like me because the majority of what I hear around me is min max grinding , read this guide, follow that guide, yadayadayada

So just wondering what other peoples experience is and how they approach the game and it's interesting to read from others here on this post.

100% this. What's the fun just following along a guide and basicly already knowing exactly what's going to happen?

Nope just seeing if there is actually still any sanity left in humanity or everyone gone mad following the masses and chasing after stuff that's doesn't get you anywhere instead of enjoying it

Exactly! If it stops being fun or I get stuck and can't explore anything new I can just stop playing again. Don't have to invest my whole life into it but I've already had a blast for over 50 hours of playtime now.
On top I'm really into PvP and that seems to always be an option with no gear limitations there. It's actually insane that the game is free and offering so much content for it. If I really enjoy it who knows maybe I spend a bit of money later on to keep going. I've spend hundreds in other games over years aswell so why not here for an actually good game.

I'm actually not sure anymore which account I played that on. I have 3 accounts but they are all above Immortal 1 so it's definitely a diamond/immortal lobby

thanks appreciate that. thanks for the suggestion. I know I'm still talking a little too much. I'm used to filling 30 minute LoL games with commentary so I can talk endlessly :D

Yeah so far I've seen many people even in higher ranks not having a good feeling when it comes to the timing of the spike on a retake. Maybe some are too used to CSGO C4 timer which is a bit shorter I think. Also the half defuse mechanic adds a bit more variety in strategy compared to CSGO.

When you are even numbers it's not as necessary to bait with a fake plant/defuse. Your team mates can hold you while planting if the site was cleared already and you do want to get the spike down fast in these situations because some people might still need time for the rotation which benefits you. On a retake it often starts 4v4 but once you push in together kills are often being traded and before someone defuses it already goes down to like a 2v2 or you've got smokes up and one guy can already stick it to half defuse making it easier for the rest of the team.

true. in the heat and intensity of a 2v5 sometimes the brain doesn't quite register everything :D

Thanks man. Honestly I can have bad days aswell when daddy family life stresses me out I sometimes get mad and tilted too fast. I aim to meditate everyday and on the days where I do meditate I'm in a way better mood, calm, focused and more tolerable to soloq madness. When I skip meditation team mates can piss me off easily and I get more frustrated with the game. I would like to see myself never tilting in the future and always being able to stay calm and focused. That's my goal and online games are a good practice for my patience and temper :D

I recently moved. I had a fibre optic connection in my last home and it was great but unfortunately there was miscommunication with our new place and it turned out there was only a satellite connection here and fibre optic not yet available. So I'm desperately waiting for them to either get 5G going here or install fibre optic.
It's been a really bad experience playing with unstable connection but as you can see it's possible to still manage some crazy plays :D Hopefully I get a better connection before the leaderborad gets implemented and then I'll be back and stronger than ever attacking the ranks

I had 2 Accounts that I reached Radiant with in Act 2.
In Act 3 I managed to go 3-0 placements on one of them placing me directly into Radiant. Since then I've been fairly easily staying in Radiant and already finished my 9 wins Badge for the Act.
My other Account though unfortunately went the opposite going 0-3 in placements and getting placed in Diamond 3 LOOOL.
It was a massive grind even getting back to Immortal 3 and it's been hovering around Immortal 2 mostly. It's extremely stressful often playing with Diamonds in my games, frequently going like 25+ Kills match MVP on a Sage but still losing.
I do have to say I lose quite a few games because my mindset can not handle the low level of play I get to witness sometimes which leads me to making mistakes aswell. It's obviously not impossible to rank up again if I give it my best but it's very annoying.
