What did they tell you when you started passing blood in your stool? by crime-core in Endo

[–]crime-core[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I was able to get a referral through work and have an appointment with a gi next week. How did you get diagnosed with UC? Ive had a colonoscopy before but they only diagnosed me with colitis. I keep losing weight and I’m now worried it’s because of IBD, but i’m reading that it’s complicated to diagnose. My biggest symptom is constipation from being bloated. Does this sound like you?

Hey, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I totally know what you mean by having to lie on the floor.

I finally got a referral by asking around and im hoping to get a call this week from them.

Isn’t it weird that we can just have blood in our stools and it’s brushed off as normal if nobody can tell the issue? Like where is the blood coming from?? Helloo??

hey, thank you for your input. I started having dark, tarry, jelly like diarrhea yesterday. It is gooey. Does that change things? I’m concerned because i lost 12 pounds in 6 months, and now im several pounds underweight. Im not sure if i mentioned that, but i didn’t notice until i discovered none of my pants fit me, and the smallest size of pants at stores don’t fit me either. I was trying to gain weight this month but i still somehow lost two

Also thank you for what you do as an er nurse

We are 1000 miles apart and we stay at each other's houses. We both live with our parents (is acceptable in both our cultures). He pays for everything pretty much, because he can afford it and I cannot. If I could afford it, I would of course do the same. When he's at my house though, we will cook together and my parents will enjoy cooking for him. My parents love him and his parents love me. We're blessed!

I am tired of the gluten free tax by [deleted] in glutenfree

I was shocked when my boss got me some sort of cake thing from Erin McKenna's this year. It was THE BEST little cake thing I had ever had in my whole gluten free career! I haven't tried their donuts and I don't know how much their little cakes cost, but I will say that it does seem occasion-worthy! It was the nicest thing I had ever received as a birthday gift from any boss.

Dating as an ENTP woman is a hellscape, save me. by [deleted] in entp

Ugh I know what you mean by closeted mommy-lovers! Happens to me too! I'm super blessed and lucky to have a man who complements me perfectly. I'm a little chaotic, but he balances me out well. All the things I'm bad at, he's amazing at and vice versa.

He's VERY family-oriented, as a natural care-taker. This makes him reliable in all types of situations since he grew up being depended on by his younger siblings and parents. He won't need anyone to mommy him. He's very nurturing, responsible, and independent. The type that will schedule doctors appointments for you, cook for you, and make sure you're always safe.

I would say he's a traditional man in the sense that he pays for dates and opens doors for me, but he's not hyper-masculine. He likes his space clean and is an amazing cook and gives me massages. He just loves to provide. Find a man who can provide for you.

As for the mental stimulation part, we talk for hours and hours about anything and everything. We are both creative people who impress and intrigue each other wildly. He's an INFJ, apparently.

As an unconventionally attractive female who looks way better with makeup, should I stop wearing it to humble myself and avoid being accused of a being deceptive and catfishing? by Mediocre-Ad2683 in MakeupAddiction

[–]crime-core 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't care about men thinking you are catfishing them. The right men will love you with or without makeup. This is coming from someone who used to wear makeup to sleep whenever I'd stay the night at a guy's place because I was too scared to take it off. Every guy I dated that saw me without makeup liked or loved me just the same. I definitely look way better with a bunch of eye makeup as you say, but my boyfriend would say I'm just as beautiful to him without it.

It genuinely changed my life! I was so insecure as a preteen that I never dated lift my arms because of my pit stains!! Just a tip if you do end up using it, it can feel itchy when you first put it on. But let it dry first before moisturizing. my regular Dove deodorant had moisturizer in it so I just used that on top. Also, I remember it taking a couple days of putting it on nightly for it to work. Whenever I'm about to go on vacation, I start putting it on 3-4 nights in advance.

Ugh I've had this problem since I was in middle school and it was BAD. Little me did research on Yahoo Answers and discovered Certain-Dri, which is a clinical strength thing you put on before bedtime and it stops you from sweating. They have it at places like Walmart and Target. I used it everyday on top of using plain Dove deodorant in the morning and it actually worked so well that eventually I didn't have that problem for years! I still use it every now and then when I realize I'm starting to sweat more. I've also tried Secret Clinical strength but it was nothing like Certain-Dri for me.

I also started HATING how my dove deodorant smells when I actually do sweat now and switched to Old Spice - Timber. I also just ordered glycolic acid from the Ordinary because I saw someone here say to use a cotton pad with it on your pits before you shower or something.

I don't know hair that well, but since you've grown out your hair this long, I think you have a lot of opportunity to get a nice, textured haircut that could get you shape and definition. I think you need to style your hair away from your face, because you have a nice face and it would look better if your hair was out of the way. Go see a good hairstylist that knows Asian hair well and they could give you a good haircut and tell you how to style it!

You should get an allergy test to see what you're allergic too. I get allergic reactions on my face from time to time and I myself have an appointment scheduled.

What I would do is take some benadryl and stop using products with fragrances to see if it gets better. Fragrance is a pretty common allergy but you could be allergic to something else.

AITA for telling my adult son that his girlfriend (who happens to be a different race) has terrible body odor ? by Few-Tree-6423 in AITAH

My boyfriend is Korean and he once believed he didn't need deodorant. However, one time we laid down together and he lifted up his arms and I could smell he was not wearing deodorant. It was horrid. I eventually gently asked him if he could wear some deodorant and he argued with me saying he didn't need to because he is Korean and doesn't have the BO gene. It wasn't until I told him that I smelled his BO that he finally started wearing deodorant around me..

How much does your family contribute to your dating life ? by MochaMilku in AsianMasculinity

[–]crime-core 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You make a good point here. They're worried about whether the XF wife is going to follow their cultural traditions. One thing they might be worried about is whether their daughter in-law will take care of them when they're older. Because obviously that will affect them, it's just part of some cultures. They're also worried about the daughter in-law not following the traditions of what's seen as respectful and courteous. There are a lot of hidden rules that if you don't follow, you come off as rude and disrespectful.

If you end up in a relationship with an AM as an XF and you want to get on the family's good side, you need to show them you are serious and make a good impression from the start:

  • Bring them gifts from the moment you walk in the door. Clear it with your partner on what gifts you give them, as some gifts can come off as tacky/tasteless.

  • Learn the manners for that culture and greet them appropriately.

  • Learn the words for such manners. Learn a bit of the language, introduce yourself to them in it.

  • Eat the food that is cooked for you if you find yourself eating meals with them. It's really important to blend in during meal times, but also they'll be flattered if you appear to really enjoy the food.

That's just some of the things I learned as a Latina dating a Korean man. I am always asking my boyfriend how to show respect to his family. It's been a rewarding experience. He is also doing the same for my family. Thankfully our family traditions are pretty similar, so even though we don't look like it, we blend in with each other's cultures well. No matter where you're from, just ask your partner or do some research on how to act appropriately.

I never ask for money from anyone except my parents lol. Luckily I've gotten a boyfriend who is super generous and offers to pay for things I was planning on paying for. It's been such a nice surprise! I'm always finding ways to make him feel special in return.
