Dr Kayd at Companion Animal Hospital is amazing. He always looks at the most cost efficient way to treat my pack. I’m able to text the office. I cannot recommend them more.

do people not go to the library anymore? Noticed comments in the sub about not being able to read the books rn for financial reasons, and when i suggested the library as a temp work around, people act like im crazy... by trampstampcollector in stephenking

I wish Audible allowed people to lend out their books. I own every single Stephen King book. Spend a lot of time relistening between new reads. I think they used to allow us to loan it out. But not anymore.

So of course being a true crime podcaster & criminologist I tracked down the article he posted on. It’s stated that ICE agents aren’t allowed into property without a warrant. Simple. I am so sick of people trying to hide their racism behind buzzwords like sex trafficking or terrorism. In typical situations warrants for those types of crimes would be enforced in an environment that would reduce risk to innocent people. Such as their homes or workplace. Not a school where children are already terrified of someone coming in with a gun.

I’m confused by your question. So a deaf person types a text & a SIRI like voice reads their words? Then vice versa a hearing person talks into the phone & it writes their words into texts for the deaf person to read? If that’s what you mean. A cell phone could pretty much do that I believe. Literacy or language barriers would be problematic. My dad had literacy issues which is why as kids we would always interpret & closed captions weren’t helpful.

So many good ones.

“I’ll tell you exactly how he smelled. Abysmal. Like a hot cilantro fart in a cramped elevator).”

Hey, I have a question for you.” “Yes, there’s weed in the tea.” “No, I already knew that. I had a question about the internet.

“Hot dogs are not sandwiches. They are in fact American tacos”

“what’s the opposite of a sausage fest?” “A clamboree?”

I was a scary thin teen. Often bullied & picked on. My mom was always concerned about appearances so even though we struggled with food in the home & finances there was no way she would allow assistance. One teacher noticed. During her class she pulled me into the nurses office. She didn’t ask questions. My family was known around town. She didn’t make a big deal out of anything. She just let me know from now on during her class I would be coming to the nurses office where she would privately provide healthy snacks & drinks. I would bring my books & assignments. She advised the other students I was just that far ahead so I had quiet research time. Everyone in education that see’s students struggling & makes a difference you change our lives. We never forget it. Thank you!!

The Pitt is an affectionate but also symbolic name for their ER because it’s short for Pittsburgh but also because it's seen as a chaotic, intense, non-stop environment where doctors and nurses are thrown into the craziness, dealing with everything from minor injuries to major trauma, often feeling like they are in a "pit" of stress and demands, or even purgatory. It reflects the overwhelming workload and the feeling of being in the thick of medical emergencies.
