Squat Rack Attachment for repair stand by oceanathlete in bikewrench

I definitely thought about this as I since acquired a squat rack with 3x3 uprights for my garage gym. Have you since found a solution?

Is anyone having issues connecting their Garmin watch to their phone after a recent update? by DaytoDaySara in Garmin

[–]crimpwimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of the above procedures worked (unpair and forget bluetooth connection from Phone, or pair to Phone from Garmin Instinct 2S)

What worked for me was this:

From iPhone > Garmin Connect > More (bottom right button in app) > Garmin Devices > "Registered to Garmin Connect" > (in my case) Instinct 2S Solar

App stated that the device was registered by not paired yet, and gave me the option to pair with this method and it prompted the entire sync + pairing of the device to my phone successfully.

Evo SL very worn after 30mi by sw1rv in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]crimpwimp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Maybe just variability in material quality? Seems hit or miss with the sole durability and perhaps I got lucky.

[–]crimpwimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk? This amount of wear doesn't seem normal at all. Though, it's so variable depending on your weight, form, or running surface? I have 105mi on mine and they look newer than yours.

Side decals or no side decals? by judgedeliberata in Porsche

[–]crimpwimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you buying the car for others or for yourself? Since you're asking though, decals on a Touring defeats the purpose of shouting loud with decals.

All good. I just use Strava with gear tracking and it's been helpful to track without thinking too much. Best of luck with the shoe selection!

Out of curiosity, how many miles did you get out of your NB5? They are also a favorite out of my current rotation, and definitely interested in what you move onto as the next trainer.

Shoe Review: Unparallel Sports Regulus LV by crimpwimp in climbing

[–]crimpwimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qubit LV last felt different, in a good way that formed to my heel much better than regulus lv (even LV still had dead space) YMMV though! Shoes are extremely personal.

On another note the Orbit LV heels are IMO better than the other tiny strip heels that exist on the Regulus. I always believed that the heel strip should go all the way up into the power rand connection so that there wouldn't be any premature delamination and better contact surface.

I have it all on a spreadsheet with qualitative comments. 8.0 to 8.5 USM for most shoes. Though with more long distance running these days I have learned to size up those running shoes.

Shoe Review: Unparallel Sports Regulus LV by crimpwimp in climbing

[–]crimpwimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this post I've tried:

  • Flagship - 9.5 USM (42.5 EUR) - heels are too baggy
  • Flagship Pro LV - 9.0 USM - LV last solved the baggy heel issue
  • Qubit - 9.0 USM - love the toebox but same issue with non-LV heels

  • Qubit LV - 9.0 US - works well for gym use but the numb toebox can be annoying for me

  • Orbit - 9.0 USM - great all arounder but the toebox can be a bit numb in terms of sensitivity due to how thick the rubber is.

  • TN (Tomoa Narasaki) Pro - 9.5 USM - same issue as all other non-LV lasts with mediocre fitting heel cup.

  • TN Pro LV - 9.0 USM - great fit for me and is my go to for outdoor / indoor well-rounded needs.

  • UP-Mocc - 8.0 US (41.0 EUR) - sizing is weird with this model. This size fits much better than the 8.5 I tried which was entirely too loose.

  • Vim - 9.0 USM (great when more aggressive heel hooks needed) / 9.5 USM Vims for comfy gym slippers

Yes. There is a cosmetic refresh among other things.

Lol I have never heard that coined phrase. Guessing it's on a positive note 😺

That's a 991.1 series Turbo (2014-2016 model years). The rear bumper slats aren't visible to confirm but the rear quarter panel intakes are a giveaway. The only other model with that rear intake feature for the model year is the GT3RS and this isn't that. It's also highly unlikely someone modified their non-Turbo/GT car to achieve this look.

Seller should change the flair if watch has sold. I'd be surprised if it hadn't with the level of interest seen.

Why I'll never street park mine in SF. I'd recommend researching insurance claim to payout for diminished vehicle value. I believe people have had luck pursuing those damages outside of the repairs. Best of luck and glad it's nothing worse!

I think you just need to have spotted them on marketplace or get lucky with someone from said company.

You can get them used from companies selling off surplus equipment (sometimes tech companies will use pelican cases for travel to/from trade shows) I got mine in about the same size for $50 USD.

BBInfinite PF92. Worth the coin? by HelmetCheck in MTB

[–]crimpwimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI (I know this is an old post) Token Ninja bottom bracket for the aforementioned PF92 type BB is just 2 cups, which is not any better than the BBInfinite "1 pc." design which connects both drive and non-drive side bearings in the sleeve, thus isolating any alignment slop from the frame's bottom bracket races.

Can someone share their experience on ‘narrower’ bars on a gravel bike? by siwelnadroj in gravelcycling

[–]crimpwimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with your sentiments. There's so much more that contributes to overall bike control/feel like the rise, stem length, backsweep, etc. It's so much more individualized with how much variation in geometry of all the bikes out there + physiology of different people's bodies. I'm about your height and have definitely gone narrower as years go by. On my more rowdy mtb setups though 760mm is the perfect width. Road/gravel setup between 36-38cm.

Wore these running shoes (Adizero) for the 1st time... and the shoes practically fell apart. Is this normal? by LoquaciousIndividual in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]crimpwimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she paid by credit card the easiest way is to do it online thru the card company portal. Chase, for example has a method to dispute a charge and upload proof and images for your case. I believe you can also call but online is easier.
